When we heard about this third party company a few months ago, fans were full of expectations and anticipation. Today in Victoria, the fine folks from MakeToys showcased their upcoming products. On display was their upgrade 'Tank' for Reveal The Shield/United Optimus Prime, all colored and armed to the teeth. Behind 'Tank' in display was a new prototype previewed earlier this month, who looks much like The Fallen. Lastly, it's the big combiner everyone has been waiting for, it's MakeToys' representation of Devastator, under the moniker of Giant. If you weren't able to make it to the Victoria Toy Fair hosted by Cherry Bomb Toys today, then here's your first up close look at these prototype figures. Seriously dude, keep that mouth closed and the drool in check!





























All 48 photos will be found in our events page once updated today! In regards to the release of 'Giant', the figure will be first released short run numbers as G2 Devastator (Yellow). This will be released in three packs of two, and will include a plethora of weapons and additional accessories. The main release of 'Giant' will be in the normal purple and green. Expect both of these releases to be shipping by the end of this year.

yea im starting to really like that prime. i want him. and the hercules devastator is freaking amazing but i just wish he wasnt so expensive.

What is that in Primes other hand?

This isn't Hercules, this is Giant. He's ~$100-200 and is a tad bit smaller.

Really happy with this guy´s work. I´m gonna buy this "Giant", not Hercules, definitely. And the OP´s armor, LOL, I want it right now!!!

oh ok. i just assumed. i guess thats the other devastator thats supposed to be coming out.

RtS Prime's robot mode looks a lot better now. Too bad his vehicle mode will always be crap!

However, is that the (original War Within design) FALLEN I see? On it like white on rice.

HANG ON! Am I reading that right? Both versions of Giant will start shipping before the end of the year??? That's insane! In good way of course.

Would it kill MakeToys to display Tank with a United Prime just once? The guy who looks like the The Fallen is awesome, but I think his face needs a little more work. He doesn't look particularly angry, so much as he looks like he's accidentally soiled himself.

I think the Hercules set is more worth it.

Someone needs to get up a Giant pre-order so that I can plan out my purchases for the rest of the year.

Duuuuude. These all look amazing. I just wish I could afford them all. Good to hear that their Devastator is getting a green colored release too.

Still comes out to nearly $200 less than Hercules, though.

Is there a site where I can Preorder 'Tank' ? Since it's supposed to be released in november, if I remember correctly.

IIRC, they are at the stage of trying to strike a deal with the distributor that will make the toy the least expensive, so IMO they can take their time!

My guess is maketoys wants giant to come out before hercules. so their rushing the giant release date because the devestator that gets released first will steal all the customers/money. fans are in-patient,they won't wait for hercules,they'll spend all their money on giant & have zero money left for hercules.

It is great to hear that both versions of Build will be released before the end of the year. He looks fantastic and I am excited to hear he will be loaded with accessories. Will the green version come in two packs or all together?

Damn.. The extra stuff comes with the G2 version. They are smart.. I don't know if I can bite on that version though.

Extra stuff with the G2 Version? Sold. They're the Constructicons I owned, anyway. Plus, y'know my wife's a huge LSU fan, so the Purple and Yellow Transformer would get more freedom to roam around the house when played with.
