Alright, well Alternators Prowl was the first alternator I ever bought. I recently traded him away because he looks like @$$ in bot mode compared to the rest.
I think I've seen 3 different versions of him. Is that correct?
I wanted to know what line this one is from. Looks to be a very similar Silverstreak body. Is it a custom or repaint from a different line?

That's a BT Red Alert with (I think) Prowl's head on it.

For anyone who hasn't seen
Spotlight: Sledge (and why not?!), my gritty and dark fanfiction piece "Holiday" is posted
here.

Did you ever do the leg mod for Prowl? Makes him look 100x better.

I have both the Alt & BT version of Prowl. There are three versions of him. The only one that I do not have is the blue car version. As for my Alt. version, I modified his legs to the right way, which improves the movement in his legs. That photo is BT Red Alert with a Prowl's head. There are G1 stickers available if you want to make him even more like Prowl.

The leg mod is a MUST!!!
I've seen a few people put BTA Red Alert's head on Red Meister to create a custom "cliffjumper." The Prowl head makes sense.
Alex Kingdom comes to mind. He does a lot of cool things with his Alts/Binals. He is who I learned the Prowl leg mod from, too.

I learned about the Prowl modification from another board.

I just carried the mod out on both my Alternator Prowl & Camshaft, it makes all the difference.

I learned on another board as well after google searching the prowl mod. Transtopia was the only place I found picture illustrations. It just happened to be an older thread(2004?) back when "ak" posted there. He doesn't post there anymore. "ak" from transtopia = Alex Kingdom from this board. Good guy, hooked me up with pics of his other custom stuff.
He also gave me the idea of putting a Sunstreaker head on my Yellow Tracks. Looks fantastic, but it doesn't transform with the big ass Sunstreaker/Dead End head.
Also, he has a custom BT cliffjumper like I mentioned. Many others as well.
I'm not going to perform the cliffjumper or yellow tracks mod until I put my stuff up in a display case.
He may not be the originator of the Prowl mod, but i'm sure he's pretty damn close.

The leg mod does make major difference on the articulation. It makes the legs fatter, but also make the overall proportion more balanced.
Original.

Modded.
