That's the title of the new Wolverine movie, which won't be a direct sequel of "Wolverine" so says the director. The story will take place in Japan where Logan will have a forbidden romance with a Japanese woman who's supposed to get married to someone else. I remember this storyline from the comics. I wonder if Logan will have a costume resembling the brown and orange from those comics.

I heard about this. The director of Requiem for a Dream and the writer of The Usual Suspects. this should be good, it's not like they can ruin Deadpool twice, right?
Right?
Right?

Love how optimistic you are despite all evidence to the contrary via the atrocities of the past 4 X-based movies.

Wait, four? Did they release two more without me knowing? I seem to recall the first two being really good.
And considering the Deadpool movie is being written by the guys who wrote Zombieland, I have high hopes for that.

The first 2 were good, the first one being the best. Last Stand was alright, but you could tell Bryan Singer wasn't around. As for Wolverine, I liked it for what it was: an origin story made for the clueless. I was disappointed as a Wolverine fan. However, I did think Liev Schreiber did a great job, and he made me a fan of Sabertooth, even though he didn't really look like Sabertooth. 1 thing all 4 movies missed out on, so far: Logan needs to be more brutal and ruthless. But PG is PG.

I am hoping it would be much better than what we saw in Wolverine as well. Ryan Reynolds was alright as the character, but the writer(s) definiely missed out on what the character was. I mean, he was basically "random henchman" on mutant gene-roids.

I'm pretty excited. As mentioned before, it's being directed by Darren Aronofsky and written Chris McQuarrie. Plus it's based on Chris Claremont & Frank Miller's Wolverine mini-series, which is a fantastic story.
Plus all I want in a Wolverine movie is him fighting hundreds of ninjas. That's what we are hopefully getting!

I'm cautiously optimisitc about this movie. I'm not sold on Arfonsky. His movie The Fountain was horrible but The Wrestler was good. He's an art house director so we'll see if that translates to Wolverine or not. His newest movie The Black Swan is getting all kind of praise(like The Wrestler) so perhaps we'll be catching him at a creative peak and The Wolverine will be a great solo Logan flick.
Love the idea that it's not a direct sequel but just a new story that indirectly picks up from the last movie. Not to unlike a comic book that just switched creative teams. They don't ignore the prior work but they don't spend time trying to seamlessly weave their story into the preceeding arcs.
I'm watching for that first trailer so I can judge how its coming along. I don't think filming even starts till March. Maybe if we are lucky we can have enough footage for a trailer in front of the Captain America movie in July.

Highly doubt it. It won't come out until summer 2012 so the first trailer probably won't hit until this time next year.
