The time nears for the ritual mutilation of seasonal gourds. Has anyone else started planning their Jack'o'lanterns?
I was hoping to carve the poor S.O.B. tonight, but didn't get to it, as I couldn't settle on a workable plan.
I started out figuring on Waspinator, since his face has a kind of Jack'o'Lantern look anyway, and it would be funny to smash him, but I couldn't get the mandibles to work out.
Then I moved onto an Autobot symbol, something a lot of kids will recognize this year, but I strained my skills when I made a Decepticon symbol a couple of years back and that was easier, so I abandoned that plan.
I tried to work out how to do Optimus Prime, and the end product was a very cool picture that simply would not work on a pumpkin - even assuming the vegetable survived the experience.
The final concept that my wife approved was Venom - should be a pretty recognizable character this year. She's also planning on making him a tongue using the left over pieces of pumpkin-peel.
I'd still like to try The Fallen (need a bigger candle) and Unicron (it's already an orange ball!) but I think we're probably going with Venom.
So what are your plans? Or if you have them carved already, get the pics up!!!

Well, my wife just got an e-mail informing her that she's proctoring a test from 6pm-8pm on Halloween night, so our plans basically just got hosed.
What kind of cantankerous old shizno gives a test on Halloween night anyway?
And he doesn't even have the cahones to show up and administer the test himself.
