Beast Wars Reborn question

Postby TaiPoh » Mon Nov 12, 2007 11:40 am

Hey folks,
I was thinking of getting the TM SP DX Convoy and Megs at first but I realized that they're not that show accurate, other than the colour, that is (especially Primal's) so I'm hoping to get the Reborn version instead. Does anyone know what's the difference between Takara and Hasbro's version? And how big are the figurines? How much was the retail price (for Takara and Hasbro). Thanks :D

EDIT: Forgot to ask one more thing: is megatron's tail detachable to reveal his hand? If not, which version has a detachable tail?

The differences between the Hasbro and Takara versions are minimal, and they're Voyager sized by today's standards. But there are two points I'd like to point out:

- The Takara versions come with a CD-ROM.
- The Hasbro version of Megatron has an assembly error. His waist joint is a click ratchet joint, but the part that holds the waist in one position is missing in the Hasbro version of Megatron. The result is that he spins like crazy when you move him enough.

And no, he doesn't have a detachable tail. Only Series 2 Megatron and TM-02 Megatron have. The latter is based on Robot Masters Beast Megatron, while the latter was repainted into Cybertron Jungle Planet Megatron
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

Looking for:
- TR Furos (Hardhead's head) and Crashbash (lost him :()
- PotP Punch head
- TR Galvatron right arm (the gun one)
- CW Brake-Neck/UW Wildrider, CW Offroad
- TR Twinferno & Grotusque
- Greenlight, Lancer and PotP Elita-1
- Legacy Core Slug, Sludge & Snarl

You're welcome chap :) While you're at it, you can look at TM-01 Convoy, based on Robot Masters Beast Convoy. This mold is cartoon-accurate, never mind the colors :P

Yeah, I must get Primal if I was to get Megs :P I'll have to order them online and get them shipped to my sis (who's studying in Chicago) so I would like to know their retail price (and the Beast Wars Reborn of Takara version, so I can compare to see which has a better value for money) thanks :)
