I hear you though, old Ironhide needed a bath badly a while back, but it rained before I could give him one, so he's good for now
It's never a good idea to tick off a member of a race of beings who can dismantle anything within mere astro-seconds -.-;

Lately when I go out to the garage to start it up, I've been heard saying "What's up, Butters?" Not sure if it counts as a mental deficiency...

My flat mate just got a new car and thought I was insane when I asked him if he'd named it yet... he hadn't.
My parents used to have an 82 Ford Cortina, Mum called it the Tank, dad called it bone crusher and I called it "Max".
Of course, I dont' have wheels, but my laptop's name is Larry.

Something memorable here.

I had 2 of those an '86 and a '91. They were both beasts. I wrecked the '86 and sold the '91. I wish I hadn't.

Re: Name for your wheels?
My car names are usually a play on the make or model.
For instance, my Infiniti G35 is "Finny" and my Triumph Bonneville is "Bonnie" but my Scion XB is "Sticky" since he's the first manual transmission I've owned. My husband was more original with his Triumph Thruxton, "Roxie"
It is perfectly normal to name one's cars, motorcycles, and just about everything else.
Oddly enough though, nothing I own has a transformers name except my transformers.

My E350 is Old Hickory. 150k+ miles on her and she's still hanging in there as tough as Old Hickory Wood.
My Escape is White Lightning, even though it's the slowest POS on the road.

Yeah, I figured if I was gonna have some hillbilly wheels, I might as well go full-out redneck and give it an appropriate name.

Every car I've ever had has a name:
1989 Chevrolet Cavalier Station Wagon multi-toned red/midnight blue, bumper stickers, and rust - "Shaggon Wagon"
1998 metallic blue Pontiac Sunfire SE - "Blue Streak"
2000 Arctic White Pontiac Grand Am GT - "White Lightning"
Current:
2004 black Chevrolet Cavalier LS Sport coupe - "Black Ice"
I name all my cars, and I will continue to do so in the future. Theres nothing weird about it. Remember the "General Lee" was a nickname for the Dodge Charger the Duke boys drove

Indeed.

I have a 2004 Land Rover Discovery II which is definetly a "she" and her name is "Bertha", although she occasionally answers to "my Baby", "Best SUV EVER" or, as my co-worker calls her "wheeled status symbol". She was named after the WWII gun. She might not be the fastest thing on wheels but her V8 kicks arse and I recently pulled 2 horses from AK to TX with her as our Pickup crapped out the day before our trip.
Our 1996 Dodge Ram is "Big Red" named for its color. He's not well (blew his radiator).
Our 2006 VW beetle is "Cliffjumper"...our sensible ride as he is a diesel, sounds like a BIG TRUCK rounding the corner and gets 45 miles per gallon. It is always fun when some guy (!!) points out to me that I am putting diesel in my car (unusual here in the US). Maybe they're just hitting on me (lol).
I have a yellow Buell motorcycle named "Bee". He's currently sick and is keeping Big Red company awaiting repairs.
