I feel like I might accidentally start a flame war over this, but who do you think would win if OP from G1 and OP from Beast wars fought each other?

I really can't decide who would win. I think that maybe, without playing favorites, Primal would win because he has more of a variety in weaponry and his weapons can't be shot out of his hand like Prime's gun (Unless Optimus prime pulls a hadoken like he did in "Heavy Metal War"). Primal can fly while prime can't, but that might not matter because Prime fights with flying robots all the time. Then again Optimus Prime also has the three components he could use and... or... :BOOM:

I'm honestly not sure who would win. This is a tough choice. I might not know all of Primal's abilities because I've only watched 7 episodes of the first season (I already had Dinobot's death spoiled for me though, much to my chagrin), but I think it would be pretty close. What do you guys think?

Optimus Prime would win, because Primal is about the same size as a human, but you'll see that later in the show, it's one of the greatest moments in TF cartoons ever. Seriously, continue watching BW, it gets better and better with each couple of episodes.

Oops, sorry! You're right, I'm new. I'll try to see what goes where next time.

I thought that both the robots and the animals were giant. Huh. I wonder what would happen if the two were the same size. Kind of makes me think of King Kong vs Godzilla, where they had to make Kong the same size as Godzilla in order for him to stand a chance. Hilariously enough, Optimus Primal is in the King kong role.

Yeah, I'm younger than most people here and discovered transformers via collections of the 80's comics, then the G1 series, then this fighting game for mugen, and... you get the idea. I never got into transformers as a kid, although my dad would get me Beast wars toys. I think I watched some of the beast wars cartoon as a kid, but not much. If I kept watching it as a kid, I would've be scared away because I was rather skittish. That and the fact that the show can be pretty shocking at times(The way Megatron fell apart as he was slamming against parts of the mountain in "Power Surge" was pretty disturbing :shock:

).

But yeah, now I'm watching as much as I can. I find Rattrap pretty funny, and the way everyone is fighting amongst themselves is pretty much the opposite of the G1 cartoon. It reminds me of the marvel superhero teams and how they're not exactly well oiled machines (excuse the pun) either.
