Its a battle for the ages! The two most awesome combiners in a fight for dominance. Lets review the facts.

Predaking:
Strengths:
Enormously Powerful, Fluid-like movement for a combiner, lots of weapons, the combined abilities of the fiercest hunters in the galaxy.
Weaknesses:
Despite most resources stating "no known weaknesses" and dubbing him the most powerful decepticon ever, Predaking doesnt't have very many victories. Depending on continuity, he's lost fights to Prime, Megatron, and several times to Sky Linx.
Thoughts:
Predaking may be the most popular combiner in all of G1. In every reality of G1 (IDW, G1, Dreamwave, Marvel, etc,) he the leaves the Autobots shaking in their boots in fear and fanboy peeing their pants in excitement.

Liokaiser
Strengths:
Incredibly strong, fantastic hand-to-hand fighting skills, has the advantage of improved combiner technology in the years between G1 and Victory. Held numerous victories in fights against Star Saber, Ginrai(sp?), Landfill, Road Caesar, Galaxy Shuttle, and pretty much anything the Autobots could throw at him until Victory Leo came around. No other "tv" decepticon can say that.
Weaknesses:
Always a chance for dissention in the merge since no one likes Hellbat (*Menasor, anyone?*). Over-confidence lead to his downfall once before.
Thoughts:
Liokaiser was one of the most awesome transformers to come from Japan, yet his following pales in comparison to his opponents.

So there it is folks, clash of the titans transformer style. Who will win? Frankly, I don't know. I love them both too much to decide. Here's the rules: ignore toy size. I've never seen a size comparison, but I'm pretty sure Predaking stands much taller. In all fairness, transformers has about the same success record for scale as Predaking has victories (ZING!). Don't just answer one or the other, give some reasoning. This is a place for discussion after all. So, have at it

Liokaiser, he's simply smarter, stronger and faster than Predaking. He's probably the most powerful gestalt from the G1 era.

He only suffers from being a obscure gestalt, otherwise he'd be a fandom favorite.

You know, I went back and read your entire post... I kinda skipped the last part of it. Didn't see the whole "give some reasoning" part. lol

Anyway, I'm going to be lazy and back what Stormwolf has already said.

I will definately give Liokaiser the overall edge after that compeling agrument above, but just for S&G's let's consider the dreamwave Predaking. In Lithos and G1 continuity he was quickly being set up as the Omega baddie (Lithograph: beating up Defensor AND Superion, ongoing: wiped the floor with Bruticus). I just don't think its a lope-sided victory.

Liokaiser may be superior but Predaking can still trick him. If Predaking plays dead and Liokaiser comes close, Predaking can stab him with his massive sword or shoot him with his foot cannons.

Liokaiser should not only knock Predaking down but also reduce him to a pile of scrap.
