Refurb Tips

Postby Barrelass » Sun Dec 09, 2007 5:01 am

So, I decided to refurbish my G1 Red Alert. I am trying out one of the suggestions to ease the yellowing (I know it is something with the plastic and doubt I will have much luck, but thought I would try). I am not that good at painting, but the metal parts on him look like I put him in a demo derby. So, I was wondering what suggestions people had for painting him/sanding down the chips (type of paint, brush, priming, etc). Also, if anyone has other suggestions to ease the yellowing at all, I am all ears. I am willing to use this piece for experimenting since it isn’t that big a deal if it is messed up. I just can’t justify getting reprolabels for him in the condition he is in (although most of his joints are tight.

TY in advance.

I'm not sure, but try posting in the Kitbashes forum. Someone there's liable to know a lot about paint and refurbishing and more than willing to help you out.
