I'm not worried about the dentist, however, all my chums think I should be after this debacle:

Antibotics rotted my teeth. Anyway, I had an internal abcess in one of them and it exploded - dear god it was awesome.

Anyway, it took the dentist over 2 hours to yank the bastard out, and half way through the pain releif wore off and they couldn't give me any more. When it finally gave there was a loud snap - the dentist said it was probably the tendons, wrong, it was a piece of my jaw chipping. I asked for proplytic ABs to stem infection, they said, "nah, you dont' need it".

Long, pus filled story later, I got the most incredible infection EVAH, it was so awesome, I ended up forming about three giant boils in my mouth which leaked pus all the time and I'd wake up with pus dried all over my face and hair and pillow and the pain was horrendous, my whole face swelled up and I need seven courses of ABs to kill the little bacterial shits. I went back to the dentist four times for them to poke the hole but to no availe. I even needed a trip to the emergency department, where I got a deal of ABs that I reacted to.

Anyway, during this 12 week mess of pain and pus and stenchy breath I got sick of it, so I got out a pair of scissors, a sharp knife and a pair of tweezers, boiled them up, then cut into the gapping, pus filled wound and dug around for 20 minutes until i was able to yank out several blacked shards of bone and a heap of pus chunks.

Dear god it was so cool!!

Reminds me of that episode of Ren & Stimpy where Ren doesn't brush his teeth so he has to pull out his nerve endings in his "stinky gum holes" to give to the The Nerve Ending Fairy. He plucks them out with a pair of tweezers much like one would pluck an eyelash or nose hair.


Dentists don't bother me much and I was gassed when I had to have a few cavities filled in because some of my molars didn't form very well. Fortunately, I have only one wisdom tooth and it doesn't need it removed. Personally I'd rather go to the dentist than have a prostate exam.
