I'm the same way. For some reason my stomach utterly rejects anything tomato-based. I mean, I can't even eat pizza unless I get light sauce on it. The only way I can handle tomato is in slices on a burger. I have horrible acid reflux and tomato is very acidic.

Girlfriend was over for the weekend, and among the many cuisine styled things we did, we made our own homemade pizza together Sunday night for dinner. Let me tell you: Delgrosso pizza sauce is the best, and Basil and a drizzle of Arizona Ranch makes for an astounding pepperoni pizza my friends

Nicolas Cage would play a good Joey Slick. John Travolta could play Jake Lomax. I mean, Bee is getting his own movie, so why not Megatron? And "Shooting Star" is a stand-alone Megatron story. Just saying.

You know what would be fun? A cross country road trip with Forrest Gump, Karl Childers and Bobby Boucher in the car with me.

Cool thing!

I found a robin egg. It wasn't there when I first walked down the trail so they must have hatched after I did my walk.

I feel ya, Rodimus. Past few years my body has pretty much rejected the idea I can enjoy food and a growing set of allergies and other issues just blitzed all my favorite foods off the menu
- No yeast. So that means no bread, no Marmite, nothing with yeast extract in
- Nothing malted. So most cereals now out of the question.
- No mushrooms. They *were* one of my favorite foods.
- No pulses. So no more baked beans or lentils... or Soya
- Nothing with alcohol\ethanol in it, either.
- Got a fatty liver disease, so all my fats are massively controlled.
On the plus side - I now eat pretty healthily and lost loads of weight, so I'm not entirely unhappy about it.
Poached Eggs on "Irish Bread" (its made with Soda, not Yeast and tastes more like thick cake) with ketchup is now my go-to when I want quick yummies.

Anyway, I know the feeling of having your options reduced, I found it the same way. 20 years ago, when I was in my teens, I had a cast iron stomach, I could eat most anything. Then about 10 years ago I noticed that some things were starting to make me ill, so I had to stop eating them. I didn't even put together the connection between the type of foods and acid reflux until a couple of years later. And the sad thing is, antacids don't work for me.
However, you're also right about the reduction of options making my diet healthier. I eat a lot less junk food, and I actually have to pay close attention to what's in my food before I eat it. Unfortunately for me it hasn't resulted in weight loss (not that I'm fat, but I could stand to lose about 25 lbs) but I do feel better generally.
Somewhat related: I just tried Subway's new BBQ rib sub. Not bad, but I wasn't impressed.

I'm weird. I can eat spicy things ok most the time. Tomato sauce can give me heartburn about 50/50 chance. But if I drink milk or even a bite of something creamy - like ranch dressing or pudding made with milk I will be gagging from heartburn.

Just as a way of community service, all of you heart burners out there should check out Dr. Chris Kresser. Particularly what he’s written about heartburn/acid reflux. I was at the end of my rope with the stuff, followed his recommendations and have been heartburn free for a good four years now.
The tl:dr version of his point is basically that as we age, we produce less stomach acid. So when we eat something hard to digest, our stomachs go nuts trying to handle it. And we pop antacids or ppi’s and make it even worse, ie we relieve the burning symptom but we’re totally screwing up our gut flora balance. Solution? Stomach acid supplements. In my case I found them at a local health food store.
Anyway, find and read his stuff on it. He goes into more detail into how to reset your digestive system if you have heartburn/acid reflux all the time. Worked for me.

Well, I would have to ask who puts beets on a burger at all?
But now I'm really curious to try a real Aussie style burger. I'll have to hunt one down or try to make it myself.
P.S. I so thought that article was going to expose MacD's for using Kangaroo meat or something.
Like the old Jack in the Box scandal.
