I'll have to start watching it. Always interesting to see the original versus the US adaptation.
EDIT: I can't get over the fact some people think Power Rangers was a total US creation, and that Super Sentai is a rip-off.

The few Sentai shows i have watched, they are better. Maybe with the exception of MMPR/Zyuranger. I am kinda fond of MMPR. Also RPM was the ****.

Mostly although they drew elements from Dairanger and Kakuranger in the later seasons of MMPR as well. Like the White Ranger is from Dairanger.

Zyuranger was indeed used for Season 1, but it doesn't end there. Late Season 1 into Season 2 were US original, commissioned by Saban who didn't expect the runaway success of the show. The so-called Zyu2-footage has both Ranger and Season 1 Megazord fights. Of course, Saban later decided to acquire Dairanger mecha footage, the basis for the Tunderzords footage and splice them with the Zyu2 Giant fights, which explains the hap-hazard job at times.

Never actually watched the original Power Rangers/Super Sentai. Saw Wild Force and Space Patrol Delta when I was a kid though, and loved them.
Still, it's good to see the "real" Super Sentai getting an official English release. Maybe there's hope for official subbed DVDs of Sukeban Deka yet...

while i am excited about there finally being an official subbed version of a sentai, i fear i will not be able to play these here in europe, what with the region coding and stuff
