Swanky. Of course, now that we're getting Indiana Jones 4, that sort of puts a stopper on my whole "The Mummy series could be the next Indiana Jones franchise" thing.

Edit: From the sound of that article, Mummy 3 would be better off bein a prequel, like Temple of Doom was.

I can't really think of a way of adding Imhotep into that without some serious retcons, and what's The Mummy without Imhotep?

I thought I heard that Jet Li was done making movies, which is weird, because he's pretty young when comapred to other Asian action heroes, like Jackie Chan, Ken Watanabe, or Chow Yung Fat.

But did they even have Mummies in Asia? Not to mention the movies have been primarily about Ancient Egypt.

I have nothing against the first two movies and Fraser seems cool (like he was in Scrubs), but I see no reason to make a third one. There are no unanswered questions and, as already somewhat stated, a prequel wouldn't work, so again I ask WHY???

Maybe it'll star a differant evil mummy, and it and Imhotep will square off against each other for dominance. That's the only thing I can think of that they can do at this point.

According to the article it'll be set in China and have Jet Li as the new villian and Rob Cohen is directing it.

I really don't think it'll be as good without Imhotep, though. So they gotta bring him back somehow.
