I'm trying to find information on a movie that I remember watching as a kid. If I remember correctly, the movie aired on one of the big 3 (ABC, CBS or NBC) on a Saturday night back when the TV stations used to do the Saturday night movie thing. I've always assumed this movie was made-for-tv, but it could have been a movie that had been at theatres at one point.

From what I can remember, the movie was about a little girl who killed her family members one by one. The movie's climax has the little girl confronting her mother (trying to kill her?).

I must have seen this movie between five and ten years old. I guess the house I remember seeing it in would have put me around 10ish, which would've meant I saw this movie in the mid-80s. I don't know if that was the first time it aired or not.

My parents kept me from seeing scary movies as a kid, so seeing this movie was pretty scary to me at the time. I've always thought it was that movie that made me dislike the horror / scary movie genre. Now that I'm an adult, I'd like to watch this flick to see if it was really scary or not.

Any clues or ideas about how I can pinpoint this movie would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The father's death sounds familiar too now that I've read the plot. It only makes sense that this is the movie if it re-aired later because that puts it at the wrong house based on my age.
