I lost the right shoulder armor to movie 1 bee and can't find it. What is a good material or method for making a mold (out of movie cliffjumper's shoulder armor) and what materials can I use for the replacement, and what is a good paint that matches movie 1 bee's plastic color. Remember:movie 1 bee not ROTF bee, so it cant go back to the store.

A thread called 'help me' posted by MegatronTheGreat? I like the irony!
I would suggest making a mold with silicone gel. You can get stuff called siligel which is two tubs of stuff like blu-tak that you mix together. When it's mixed it gradually hardens over five mins into medium hardness rubber. Use this to make a two part mold.
Then there are two choices:
1) make the part with an acryllic paste. This needs air to harden so you'll have to build up layers every hour or so. You can get different hardnesses from soft rubber to hardish rubber.
2) it might be easier to clamp the two mold halfs together and inject resin in using a syringe that would normally be used to squirt medicine down the throats of small animals or refill ink cartridges. This stuff is two liquids (or powder and liquid) that, once combined, solidify over 24 hours into a very hard and clear plastic.
As for paint, there are hundreds of different yellows available by various brands so you'd be best going to art shops and seeing what they have but be prepared to do some mixing! However, I think that humbrol 154 is quite a good match.

I would suggest Alumilite's Casting Kit, it has pretty much everything you'd need to cast the part, plus a how-to booklet. I linked to eBay, but you should be able to find it at your local hobby store.
It might be cheaper just to buy another Bee though,

Jeeeeez
Just buy a new one on Ebay or something...it would HAVE to be cheaper and far less trouble than casting an entire shoulder piece!
I've got a movie 1 Bee you can HAVE...lol
Besides...the movie 2 Bee is about a zillion times better...the head actually looks like ht efilm version now. I had the two side by side and the old head just looks silly in comparison, nothing like the movie Bee.
Also, it's the exact same body from the first film, just buy one a t Target for $9 and switch heads, unless you mean a 70s Bee, then I'd imaging one of those would be dirt cheap on Ebay, much less than the supplies for casting a should piece.

I don't want a new 07 Bee, but maybe I could find the part on ebay. I will get new movie bee but Im gonna swap his gun arm with premium 07 bee's arm.
Hopefully the shoulder will show up around the house.
