I like the molds for the newer Iron Man and Spider Man 2-pack, but I don't like them actually being Spider Man and Iron Man. The motorcycle SM just felt more like SM than the helicopter, and same with the sleeker jet for IM. Not to mention... Why the hell would IM and SM combine? (A Fantastic 4 combiner, on the other hand, I could totally get behind...)

But I like the toy itself, and it I can get a good idea for a repaint I can do to them, I'll get it.

But I can't think of any good repaint ideas...
The best I've got at the moment is Darkwing/Dreadwind.

But since I've got G1 Darkwing, and am holdng out hope for acquiring G1 Dreadwind someday, I fear that paintjob would just make the toy redundant in my collection.

A G1 version of Animated Jetfire/Jetstorm occurred to me, but I think I like that even less than Darkwing/Dreadwind...

Any Ideas?

I got excited by the idea of the combiner until I found pics. My god, what is the combined mode supposed to be? And the articulation of the two is very poor so I'm disappointed and will not by buying these. But for repaint ideas I thought of doing the G1 Duocons but the only ones I know of are a ground vehicle and a flying vehicle so perhaps that won't work. I haven't seen all of AEC yet but are there two jets that combine at all in that?

I'm not sure what you could do for the marvel cross over, but I am doing a dreadwind and dark wing using the animated jetstorm/jetfire combo. What about the macross jetfire it kinda looks like the alt combined mode?
