What e-Bruticus had going for him from the start was the limbs. The two tanks worked well as legs, and the copters had real hands. What FP did was spectacular.
To sole E-Superion's problem was to add stable hands and feet. The A-10's worked well as legs, and the F22 worked as arms, the failure of HasTak was no real hands for the guy. The attachments are minor from FP but giver it a much better look depending on the color of the Appendage set and which version of Superion you use.
E-Devastator, well he has some issues. The crane vehicles look odd whether they are feet or arms. The Bulldozers look better, but one gets in the way of the head from the main body. This perplexes me as to how they would achieve some uniformity in creating parts. Since G1 Devastator was 6 people, everyone is going to assume a third party add on would create this. I don't see it happening. To pull it off they would have to omit almost every vehicle except the bulldozer.
I could see FP doing it, but the 3P companies work together so the Project Deva is the Classics Devastator everyone has been waiting on.
Now will FP still make a Crossfire3, probably more of a new set of combiners that they were working on, but as for Classics Devastator, I see it as it will be left as is.

But assuming the Dev set is well done, is there a BotCon set better than this? As cool as Shattered Glass is, I'd rather have a Classics Devastator than a purple Optimus Prime...

I was kinda hoping they'd continue making more cross fire limbs. instead of go into another direction. they could of made 4 more new mold limbs & finished off devestator & superion.
then maybe ventured out & made a deluxe new mold menasor. then 4 new mold basic sized stuticons limbs.
I suspose after all this was done. they could have done a red & white recolor called computron. by mixing & matching bots from the 4 sets. like taking the stunticon for a limb & painting it red. taking 2 jet limbs from superion & repainting them red & white. then maybe creating a new mold deluxe core leader bot named scattershot. the motorcycle would be tricky to repaint but they could of axed him or did a new mold of him.
I suspose they could do defensor. if they did a new mold for the motorcycle limb for computron they could recolor this in defensor motorcycle colors. the race car from the stunticons becomes the police car repainted for defensor. the bruticus helicopter becomes blades for defensor. all that would be needed would be a new mold deluxe hotspot & a new mold basic limb firstaid.
deathy wrote:My running ideas were as follows: (1) Have the 6th member transform into a headmaster for the gestalt combiner. ofcause it'll still have a robot & construction alt mode.

deathy wrote:I figured out of all 4 of my ideas. the headmaster (that also transformed into a robot & construction vechicle) one would be the hardest to do maybe even impossible to do.
I estimated making the 6th member a targetmaster (that also transformed into a robot & construction vechicle) would be the easiest to accomplish & a great throw back homage to the 1988 seasons targetmaster gestalt weapons.
