Now the Decepticons are going to look REAL threatening since the Autobots will be off guard after fighting so many weaker things!

Really, I don’t buy that whole deal about it being to make the Decepticons more threatening, does anyone remember what the original name for this show was? Transformers Heroes, and if I recall they even stated at Botcon there were to be more super villains that were cut out, hence the name “Heroes”.

Oh well, Swindle looks okay, at least he’s still yellow.

Actually, he looks just like his G1 counterpart. He, like Megatron has an arm mounted cannon.

Oh don't get me wrong, I love The Venture Bros. To pieces.

The thing is, it's meant to be outlandish and satirical (come on...Guild Of Calamitous Intent? lol) and it handles all of that quite well.

Animated is aimed at kids and meant to be outlandish, but that's it.

I realize they're not one and the same, but after reading that title for Animated, I'm half expecting The Monarch to pop in with "Hellooo."

What's this about Prowl having armour?

In "A Fist Full Of Energon" Lockdown makes his return and he gives Prowl an upgrade (yes, one of his famous upgrades) which is a sidecar that becomes armor for Prowl. Both he and Lockdown have to go after Starscream and uncover his clone army.

Thank you, neutralstate. I wasn't sure if it was just me thinking along those same lines. I was thinking that it is about time they put him in a mode that is at least close to the same scale as the other Combaticons seeing as how a 2 door Army jeep is typically dwarfed by military heilcopters, tanks and the rest of the assortment. His alt mode on the back of the tow truck seems to resemble a Hummer which is an improvement over his original version. So long as they do justice to his original backstabbing, double-crossing, larcenous, greed-driven personality I suppose I can live with it. Not that TFA thrills me a whole lot anyway but my 8 year old enjoys it when Dad sits and watches cartoons with him. I do enjoy the nod to G1 fans that they sneak in from time to time but it is hard for me to remember that this show is aimed at a totally different audience from the very start, so I have been VERY slow to warm up to it.

It is really good to see a Swindle with an arm cannon again and I hope the toy lives up to the design.

I loved G1 Swindle in the cartoon but the toy was in no way comparable.

Good cartoon to toy translation has been one of Animated's greatest strengths so far. If that continues, Swindle hits my preorder list. (Along with the entire elite guard.)

Looks like Swindle is the evil Optimus Prime look alike for this series.

Notice how the robot mode looks ALOT like Optimus Prime and he has an Arm Cannon like Megatron.

Like others i really couldn't care less about the super-villian team up. But bringing back Swindle is awesome.

Swindle was always one of my favorites, and this new version looks great. Now show me pics for a toy release.
