Flashing pictures inside Unicron

Postby ET21 » Sat Dec 13, 2008 9:20 am

Okay, so I'm watching Transformers: The Movie right now and I've noticed something strange. Here's the thing: when Unicron is devouring the planet Lithone there's a sequence when we see what seem to be a screw moving his um... "food" towards his inside. And for some odd reason this screw is flashing and when you inspect this scene frame by frame you'll see that there are pictures of some skyscrapers there. I don't know if this subject has been covered yet but here's the question: do you know the story behind this animated feature or do you have any theories why such strange physical anomalies are happening inside Unicron?

He's Robot Satan. It's magic. They ain't got to explain ****. :P

Basically it was a cartoon movie for little kids. They just tried to make it look cool. They weren't too worried about physics or making it realistic. Otherwise you wouldn't be watching an animated movie about giant robots from outer space. ;)

It's best to assume every link I post is NSFW, and every post I make is just me taking the piss.

Actually, there is a reason for it.

TFWiki.net wrote:When the inside of Unicron is shown after he devours Lithone, the "blinking energy" effect of Unicron's innards was apparently achieved by recycling backgrounds from other animated TV shows or movies. If you go through the scene frame by frame, you will see what appear to be several images of post-apocalyptic buildings inside Unicron.
