Do you prefer the Energon comic or cartoon?
- Motto: ""I will do for Optimus Primal what Optimus Primal cannot do for himself.""

I've watched several episodes of Energon, and also borrowed the TPB Energon Comic #1 from the library, and honestly, I think that the comic represents what Energon should be. But what do you think? Is the comic or cartoon better?

Oh definitely the comic. In most cases, the comic tends to be better than the media.
I grew up on the Marvel G1 comics and even as a kid, considered them far better to the cartoon.
Even lately, I hated ROTF the first time I saw it but when I read the IDW movie books like Alliance I gave it another chance and gradually came around to it. Would not have happened were it not for the comics.
Same with the Energon comics. It's a shame they were cancelled because they had some interesting ideas. Terrorcons, Omnicons, Unicron's Heralds (Cheetor and co.), Scorponok vs Megatron, Ghost Starscream.
Having read the G1 and armada MTMTE profile books, it's sad that we never got the proposed Energon books. I'd have loved to read about Rodimus, Prowl and Omega Supreme's Energon incarnations. Oh and the combiners.

Comic, mainly because the cartoon made no sense whatsover and I couldnt really keep up with what was going on. Even in Japanese & English the show itself is an intergalatic easter egg hunt and its full of nonsence.

Definitely prefer the comic. There is positively no comparison between the comic and the computer animated train-wreck that was the cartoon. Even Scott McNeil couldn't save the show. Like I said in a previous thread, the cartoon's characters were just plain BLAH. Nothing one could get close to. The comic, on the other hand was interesting, engaging, and the characters had DEPTH. It is a crime that it was just cut off with no proper ending.
