soundwave leader?

i never noticed this before... im just getting back into transformers and i dont remember much but look at soundwaves head then the logo on his chest? stransge coincidence can someone fill me in? it looks better on the mp3 soundwave.

make sure to note that the head of the first soundwave looks just like the autobots insignia! wierd huh?

The Decepticon logo was taken from Soundwave's face (as was the Autobot logo taken from the face of the Bluestreak/Prowl mold), but the leaders were always meant to be Optimus Prime and Megatron. When I saw Cybertron for the first time, I noticed how the Soundwave from that series reminded me of the G2 Decepticon Insignia. :CON2:

Indeed so, resemblance is uncanny, Soundvave head looks exactly like Cons Banner.

He's been a leader a chunk of times...not the head but... .
Never noticed until it does look like the auto bot bit. Like
the constructicons...we're friends of optimus..once upon
a time. One of the faces does look like prime. Read it somewhere. Could be the same,former friend...whatever reason

Anyone else notice that Soundwave and O. Prime look similar? The rectangles and triangles on Prime's lower torso look similar to the play, rewind, fast forward, and stop buttons on Soundwave's lower torso. They both have boxy upper torsos, and their faces look kind of similar.

These debates will never settle. I think hasbro was messin with our minds man, it's totally unreal....
That does look alot like the cons, but Takara probably did it to sharpen his facial features.
