I’ve been out of the game for a while. Like a lot of people, I was really into the Transformers Universe into my teens, lost interest, and have now had my passion rekindled by the movie coming out.

The question I have for y’all is what’s up with this Beast Wars crap?!?! I can’t believe you douche bags have been supporting this nonsense.

I love beast wars as do many. Arguably the best writing for a transformers cartoon, one of the first cartoons to make a legitimate example of great CG on a television schedule. The Transmetal line of the toys had perfect show accuracy. All the characters developed in BW are memorable thanks to the great character work done by the writers and artists.

but you probably didnt know any of that, maybe before you bait people by calling them "douche," know what you are talking about.

If you have a REAL point of debate about the beast wars, I would love to hear it...

Welcome to Seibertron.

A great opinion about BW, that can be debated by many on here to its good and bad qualities.

However, you need to refrain from name calling like that. It's not really a good way to welcome yourself into the crowd and it's simply rude.

Enjoy the site, but follow the rules, please.

This includes but is not limited to drug use, solicitation of a minor, and copyright infringement (including the distribution of files such as video game ROMs and PDFs of commercially available books).

5. No Spam or Commercial Advertising.
Do not make threads that have absolutely no constructive purpose (such as "Post about anything here!" threads). If your thread does not have at least some attempt at a topic, it will be considered spam and locked. This includes spam posts just so you can pad your post count. We are also not here to be free advertising to make you money. If you want to advertise on Seibertron.com, contact a moderator or the site admin and we'll see about working something out with you. Otherwise, any thread linking to a commercial site for the express purpose of getting guests to buy things from it will be locked, and the link removed. Do not continuously bump your thread as this can be considered spam to pad up your post count, let others move it back to the top.

6. Post in the correct sections.
Each section is labeled so we all should realize that TF movie discussion goes in the movie forum and not the General Discussion area. If you post in the wrong section, your thread may be moved to the proper forum with or without notification. If you find that you have posted something in the wrong section and it is an error, please contact a moderator or administrator to move the thread to it's appropriate section do not make a duplicate post.

7. Do not make duplicate threads.
When you want to make a new thread, do a quick search using the 'search' button at the top of the page (if it is functioning). When searching for any given term, make sure to click on 'search for all terms', or you will get pages of unrelated posts. If there is already a thread on that subject, post to it instead of making a new thread. If multiple threads on the same subject are discovered, the odds are that one of them will be locked. If your post is locked please do not make duplicate threads of the same subject as it was locked for a reason.

8. Do not create improper usernames.
Vulgar usernames, or usernames that are intentionally copying an existing user for the purpose of trying to trick people into thinking you are that poster will not be tolerated. Any name that is deemed improper will be modified by the Seibertron.com staff as they see fit. If you re-register with the same name after it has been deemed inappropriate, it will be banned outright. If you think the name you are signing up with is kind of iffy, then don't use it.

9.Post in a readable form.
The forums support different colors for posts, but be responsible about it. All of the forums use a whitish gray background, so posts written in Cyan or white, for example, are extremely difficult to read without highlighting. Use some common sense, if you can't read what you wrote, neither can anybody else.

10. Mod's the Word
If a moderator/administrator has to step in and hand out warnings/bans or other disciplines adhere to their wishes. Do not treat the warning as grounds for a personal vendetta. Warnings are carefully thought out, and flaming, bating or harassing a staff member because of it will only lead to a harsher reprimand.

11. Most important of all, have fun.
This stuff all boils down the golden rule anyway, do unto others as you would have them do unto you. If you don't want somebody doing it to you, then don't you do it to them.

First of all, have you actully SEEN Beast Wars?

I can understand why alot of people prefer the non-orginic looking Transformers (Vehicles and the original robotic looking animals of G1 erra) but as far as story goes Beast Wars is by far the best series to date.

It's actully plot driven and not just a giant toy commercial with a bunch of characters in world full of plot holes.

Secondly, how is it you can bash Beast Wars but suport the movie at the same time? The Decepticons all look like giant insects.

Finnaly I'm going to second what Sid Burn and tigertracks 24 said. If you're going to talk about Beast Wars you should at least know something about the series. From the sound of it you're basing your opinion entirely on the fact that they are organic looking animals.

You obviously didn't judge the movie based on the crap designs so we exspect you to do the same for Beast Wars.

And starting off by insulting several Beast Wars fans including myself is definatly not a good way to start off things here.

Beast Wars rescued Transformers from death, it is the series that picked the brand back up and showed people why Transformers is great again.

It paid homage to G1, it had great characters, it had content for fans new and old, for child and adult.

Feel free to state your opinion, just dont be a 'douche bag' about it.

I remember liking Beast Wars back in '97 but for the life of me can't remember a single story from it! Are the stories really that good? See, when I watched it back in the day, I only had an extremely vague idea of what the original Transformers were. So basically I thought Beast Wars Transformers were it. I prefer the vehicular/jet designs over the beast modes, but if the stories really are that great, perhaps I should consider watching a couple episodes on Youtube or something.

Beast wars was the best written transformers series ever (once you get beyond the first half of season one which was merely ok but slightly childish). It actually had character growth and developement. It was the pinnacle of abnimated transformers and everyseries since was a continued step down. (though i still like BM)

Not your cup of tea, that I can understand. But that has been the famous last words of many TF fans throughout the last decade once they actually sit down and watch the series. Beast Wars has converted many to the way of the Transformer.

Well, I'm so attached to it because that's what was thre when I was really little. I was born right after G1. Poor me. As it turns out, most of my BW figures ar either MIA or POW.

You're all big doodie heads!

Now that is out of the way, Beast Wars was the greatest tf cartoon made. It's writing surpassed G1, and set every tf show after it to fail- no tf cartoon to date has come close to BW's character development and plot.

The only other cartoon to do as well in this way is Beast Machines. But the designs of the Maximals and their toys threw a lot of people off.

Sure, it didn't have a lot of veichle transformers in there, but it tied in very closely with the G1 mythos, and payed many, many tributes to the original generation of transformers. Some of my favourite episodes are the ones with scenes within the Ark and Nemisis, where you get a glimpse of Megatron, Prime and other G1 titans in 3D glory, for the first time ever!

It also gave birth to the spark (correct me if I'm wrong) as the life source of the transformers.

If you hate BW, you are missing out on one of the greatest sections of transformer history ever written. At least give it a chance.
