Japanese Transformers DVD to play on Computer???

Hi! I am trying to play a Japanese Transformers Masterforce DVD on my Dell computer. It acts like it is going to play the DVD through Windows Media Player, but then it displays a codec error? What is that? And how do I get my computer to play this DVD? Is there a series of code numbers I can key in to unlock this codec? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You are going to have the change the region code capability on your PC. If it's anything like my Mac, you can only do it a small number of times, unless, you know how to override it.
Other than that, see what region code the discs are and search for a converter out there on the interweb.

Simple answer. Do like I did. Import a Region 2 DVD+R drive, buy an adapter if needed, and install as a secondary Disc drive on your computer. Problem solve-ed.

Why import? Get one cheap from the next computer store and set it to Region 2. That's what I did just the other way around.
Now I have the problem, that I need a third region (ordered the Australian DVDs, Region 4, why can't Australia share Region with China, my PS2 got that.)
