Yeah, I will say hat I am a noob on Halo (I got the 3rd one a few weeks ago, and I have been working up from Easy), and have no other Halo games. So I just started playing on Normal like a week ago and i am up to the "Cortana" level (god I hate that level), so last night I played "Covenant", and I noticed this skull thing on the second tower, the one where you aren't supposed to land. Can anyone explain to me what it is?

Plz be gentle if I sound like a noob.

I pressed "X" at the Campaign screen, and it came up with a whole list of skulld, and I obviously have 1. There is also a point thing at the top of the screen which you can turn off or have it in 2 modes, and apparently you get points. Can someone xplain to me all this?

There are a total of 13 gold and silver skulls throughout the game. They unlock various challenges (no hud, enemies invulnerable to human weapons, etc.) The gold skulls also unlock achievements and have a point bonus multiplier. This is handy for unlocking the 15,000 point and 50,000 point achievements. Furthermore, to get the Hayabusa armor, you must gather all 13 skulls, then unlock 1`,000 achievement points (aka ALL of them) to get the 4th piece of the Hayabusa suit... a KATANA.
...no, you can't use it, but it looks frigging sweet in multiplayer.
