I have been lookin into buying some transformers in the armada line and tidalwave caught my eye....
Since i have most of the movie decepticons exept for Megatron, payload and dropkick i was looking for some bigger or cool baddies
Does anyone own this figure, if so is he good?...bad? average?
pros?
cons?
Worth hunting down?
Thanx
Tidalwave

Tidal Wave is an awesome figure. It's made even more awesome by his appearance in the Transformers PS2 game.

Tidalwave is a good figure. Reminds me kinda of the larger G1 transformers, like Omega Supreme, who had parts that combined into a 'bot.
His mini-con isn't horribly bad, but it works for color. Also the Military team goes well with him.
Heck, I never have him out. Throw me a fair price, and he's yours. He's out of box, but pretty much mint condition.

Tidal Wave is cool and attaches to Armada Megatron/Galvatron for weapons and a jetpack. Pretty cool I couldn't find him in stores when he came out so had to hunt one down on ebay.
Same with Overload need to get that figure yet for the Armada line.
They were blocky toys but fun as well.

I got a few so I could armor up Megatron, and of course, have the regular Tidalwave on display. He is impressive, but not my favorite figure, but still fun.

I like the Micron Legend version because it was show accurate with the colors, way different than the Armada version.
I also reccomend Micron Legend Wheeljack which comes with a limited version of Dark Sabre. I won one on Ebay lastnight

I got one of that set. It is cool, and Wheeljack (Rampage-FYI in Micron legend) is practically the best of the line...when might they use that mold again? Never repainted...

I have the plain Armada version, and I am glad I did, I much prefer it over the energon version.
He is a good sturdy figure. Not alot of articulation, but still a fun as heck toy.

I have the Micron Legends version (the only from the unicron trilogy so I dont know how he compares with others from the line). After seeing him in the armarda game, and liking the mold, I wanted it but I hated those colours. Found the purple version in FP and loved the purple colour scheme. I love transforming the guy and he holds the Megatron that comes with 20th Prime surprisingly well, giving him even more firepower. As if all those cruise missile launchers weren't enough.
I would say a good purchase. But get a colour scheme you like. IE stay away from teh Energon one because it looks crap IMO.

I wish I would have known that from that start. I have E-Tidalwave, but am looking for a Micron Tidalwave. Not seeking him heavily, but I eventually want the Micron version.
Overall, I think he's a pretty good figure. I'm always up for larger class bots that are supposed to be huge like Omega Supreme/Sentinel. He's kind of a brick, but one that still looks nice.
