10. One of the most fun TFs I have (out of 1600). Great Transformation, well articulated, and real good looking.

I really dig it myself. I'd probably give it an 8.5, mainly because I just wish there were a couple other things included like his arm sword. His head also kinda seems a tad too small to me. Overall though it's a super fun toy. The ball jointed ankles prove very advantageous.

7.9 out of 10.
the gun not comming off kinda irks me, and his head seems a little small. some other minor complaints, but his transformation is great, and he looks and feels nice. one of the best toys of the line by far.

The gun does come off, just pull it up.
Leader Prime is great, has a neat transformation, looks pretty much like him on screen model and has plenty of detail.
I would have liked him to have his axe but its not a perfect world.
9.9 out of 10. There is always room for improvement!!

i didn't exactly mean the gun itself, but all the kibble that goes on that right hand with the gun.
my mistake

then again, he could have been megatron...that alone deserves the extra .1 in my mind.

I dont see why people are so down on Megatron. When you consider the rubbish that they had to base him on they did a pretty good job. If they hadnt bothered with the stupid automorph on the main body they could have done something better with the space. The paint job is off, ok I accept that but he does what he set out to do and that is look like one scary alien TF.

around an 8. I personally like the Robovision Robot form and the leader version truck from.
Probably for the before mentioned gun/small head thing. His wheels making a sorta hanging thing in the back isn't the best either.
Still if you have the cash hes a nice fig to have.

I had a nice Pros/cons post typed up, and hit submit and got an error message and it was lost.
Basically, he kinda looks chunky sometimes, but he's solidly built and poses nicely. His cannon sucks and I'd rather have one from the Voyager Prime to put in his hand. That extending gun in his forearm should have been his sword. They missed an opportunity there, because the mechanism is already in place for something like that. The lights and sounds bothered me so I took his batteries out. All the gray plastic is kinda drab looking, especially spots where it's supposed to be chrome. He's got a complicated transformation, so you get a lot of involvement for your money (sorry kids). Rubber tires!!!
8 out of 10, maybe 8.5.

o by the way, the paint application kinda sucked on mine, but hey what transformers figure doesnt? and plus he was the last one in stock so its not like i had alternatives. and ever since i bought him ive barely seen anymore of him in stores, and i got him long before the movie came out, and still few sightings of him. but i still give him a 12

I never picked up Leader Prime because he looked too blocky to me and got RoboVision instead which I'm pretty happy with. Now I kinda want a Leader Prime, though I doubt I'd be able to find one around here since no one seems to be restocking anymore.

10 out of 10. Best prime toy next to masterpiece.
If hasbro gave him a sword like he had in the movie, Id give it a 30 out of 10.

I like him very much, my biggest gripe is that his arms, while having a pretty good range of motion, seem to be a little too short. You can't really do much with his arms in front of his body because his chest is so huge, it's like the elbow joints should have been out farther to allow a greater range of motion in front of his chest.

9.5 from me. It just misses out on a full 10 due to the lack of energon axe, his torso and upper legs lack articulation, he cant look up and im not too fond of flashing lights and silly sound effects.
Still an awesome toy though and one of my faves.

I definitely give him a solid 10. He's the best Optimus Prime in my entire collection, and one of the best ever made. Period.
He's got his issues with the gun and lacking the sword, but beyond those two, he's friggin fantastic.
Hmm. Good luck on that one. I know of one local store that has two in stock and that's it. I haven't seen a Leader Prime in any other places other than that one local store.
...even K-Mart sold out of them.
I'm glad I got one when I did, but I'm afraid if anything might happen to the one I have, it might be next to impossible to replace him. Or eBaytastic.
I might want to consider getting a second one if I see it...
I'm guessing they're ending production on him for a few reasons:
1.) He's constantly sold out, everywhere. The ones that are in stock, locally, are from the very first case assortment and never sold.
2.) HTS canceled all outstanding orders for him, saying it was discontinued.
3.) Night Attack (or whatever that ridiculous name is...) Optimus Prime repaint is due anytime now. (Sadly. Perhaps a good Nemesis Prime fan repaint will come of it.)

Well.. a little review then.
It was my first transformer in .. well.. 17, 18 years really.
and ... I was AMAZED.
It couldn't believe the level of detail, the hand movement, the bits sliding and folding about.. lightyears beyond what I was used to (powermaster OP?)
As with the entire movie franchise.. it's focussed on kids, so blinking lights, and sound effects.. not really my thing (for a display piece.)
It did however allow for great posing etc. but I was let down by the cannon not able to being fully removed (the clip stays on the arm after all) and I felt the legs could've used some die cast like was done so excellently on the cabin itself.
I would've given it a 9.5 before I had any of the MP's.. now I can rate it a serious 90/100 for being such an excellent transformer, and a minus for the kiddy additions.
+Great Feel
+Amazing Detail (for a newbie)
+Excellent transforming action:
∙ The Knees -> Hood
∙ Cabin -> Arms
∙ Front grill -> Feet (*WITH ACTUALL FRIGGING TOES! posability+)
- *honk*honk* and the spring loaded canon not being able to remove
- I would've liked to seen full-stretch fingers instead of the MP hands

9/10 very great considering i'm not a total Optimus fan, Grimlock's my favorite
the things i like about is is the automorphs, the clean truck mode, the 2 DIFFERENT SOUNDS (unlike megatron), and one of the most important things is the articulation in the foot area for some great poses
if you can afford it and you're considering it, definitely get it

Solid 9. Not perfect, but damned near it.

Strong 9 out of 10. I have both the Target and regular version. I opened the Target one b/c I like the metllic paint apps more on him. Definite pick up!
