Good day all,

I've been seeing pre-orders of "Energon repaint"s such as Arcee and Signal Flare.

As someone new to buying TF toys, can anyone give me their take on the Energon line, what they're about, why they're good enough to have a movie repaint, and I guess the bottom line, why I might want to buy them.

By the way, I've checked the other post, and don't seem to find what I'm looking for.

They aren't all Energon Repaits.

The Energon Repaints are Strong Arm, Skyblast, and Arcee. The others are Cyberron Repaints of Clocker, Armourhide, and Hardtop.


Well they are basic sized toys. Some of them were really nice in their respective lines.

Particularly liked Hardtop from Cybertron. and Skyblast from Energon:

Basic Figures, with a new paint job. Some look better, some don't.

can recommend Hardtop, Skyblast, Maybe Strong Arm

Clocker is not particularly good. I'm not that much into fembots, so can't say anything about Arcee. and Arnmourhide, only if you like the hole tiny truck (Huffer) thing he's got going on.

Energon Arcee is a great little figure, I would recommend her without hesitation. Very basic but very well designed. My only gripe with her are the forearm "guard" sections which could have done with folding away to leave her actual arms.

Those are the figures that you should be aiming to get, in that order. Signal Flare. Hardtop and Clocker are also good toys for their price, but are not as much fun as the top 4. Hardtop and Clocker also had better looking repaints already, Swindle and Swerve from the Cybertron line.

Hmm I thought signal Flare was pretty cool. I like Skyblast the most though. Armourhide looks sweet too but I don't think my local Targets have it yet.

What does anyone think about buying Arcee even if you already have the movie Deluxe? I have seen to Energon Arcee and I'd love to buy her in her original colours, but can't find that anywhere now.
