Whats The Forearm Cannon?
On the back of Voyager Ratchet's box it says Automorph Forearm Cannon, honestly I don't see any Cannon, is that just the Shield that he has or the Claw or something?

Pretty much you just pull out the axe, but don't unfold it. It kinda almost vaguely looks like a gun... sorta...

Hasbro lied. Officially there's only the claw, tomahawk axe, shield and combat stretcher. Now we have to pretend the axe can serve two functions.

Once I paint a bit of silver the gun concept will be more feasible and the axe will look better as well.
I actually don't mind having no missiles. Ratchet's roof rack really is awesome. A shield, a claw, and a combat stretcher - awesome multi-purpose weapon and very fitting for him. Granted, only minicons and Basic sized figures can actually fit on the stretcher, but that's still okay for me.
If you want disappointment, look at Leader Megatron, whose Fusion Cannon does jack all and isn't even complete, unlike Voyager Megatron's (I was actually very impressed with Voyager Megatron's Fusion cannon - at least it fired something).

I got tired of the stupid green axe look, so I started working on it. Actually, since Ratchet is my least favorite, I've sacrificed him as a project, that's why he's in pieces.
Here's my axe so far. I used Evergreen card to fill in the back after sanding it flat, then sharpened the edges of the axe to a sharper point. It doesn't show up well in the pics though. I'm also going to fill in the rest of the back with more panels, but I'm still working on those.

Pretty good! I haven't taken my Ratchet apart, even though I've custom painted him a fair bit. Will work on the axe/gun tonight.

Ratchet is pretty straight forward because of his lack of major automorph. And when you do take his leg apart, the whole mechanism stays put as long as your somewhat gentle. It helps to only take one leg or arm apart at a time so you can still compare to the other side as a reference. Right now, he has no arms or legs and looks better that way. lol.
