I had this posted a while back ...
My most fave TF of all Time, is my G1 Fortress Maximus
got it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back for xmas of 87
it was the only thing i got from my parents that year ... but it was worth it
i have taken that thing into a sand box .. left it outside, carted it with me to college and back across where ever i go. it has been striped down part to part and reassemled back in 2000 (to get the sand*OMG from 87/88* out of the gears in the internal elevator <_<)

after all these years i am only missing:
The Dual Laser Gun
The Arms for Gasket and Gromet
MiniGun for Cerebros
+ sticker damage
+ usage wear

Now my kidz play with it *teehee* 80's engineering .. got to love it ^^

I agree 80's toy tech was incredible then on certain lines. But I would have to make my fav my original U.S. release or Powermaster Optimus Prime. Cab Primes leg broke fixed that, the peg for the trailer to connect has been replaced with a screw, the trailer wheels have also gotten the same treatment, and one of the double cannon pegs broke in his left arm. Nontheless I did however buy the rerelease with Godbomber/Apex whatever. Still on display never taken down.

lol Fortress Maximus is older than me by a few months.

Thats so awesome though. Too bad they'll almost certainly never manufacture a figure that big again.
