Transformers Classic line
Hey people, I may sound like a novice asking this but whats up with the TF classic line? Meaning, will they release more of the older ones like Starscream, Hot Rod, BB, or Grimlock? I had a chance a month ago to get a Cliff Jumper but slept on him. I want a Starscream so bad but I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for one either. Thanks.

Well if you mean by making a different Bumblebee, Hot Rod, Grimlock and Starscream than no, as all 4 of those have already been released in the Classics line. What's in the Classics line now is staying there, I don't think they're making anymore. Your best chance is to get them off Ebay, or see if they're still around in your toy stores.
But if you're asking if they're going to make more Bumblebees, etc, in future lines that relate back to G1 characters, than of course, something like that will be done.

I got dang lucky with my starscream classics, i don't even want to go on ebay and find out what they're going for. I paid $11 at Sears and I'm just lucky.

They are making some more Classics in fall of 2008.
For now though , it's hard to find many of them as they sold out.
Optimus Prime, Cliffjumper, Mirage and Perceptor are still for sale on the Hasbro Toy Shop site:

Here is a link to Classics on ebay:

Amazon.com still has Astrotrain for a reasonable price too:

And the Optimus/Megatron 2 pack:

The Classics Line debuted in September of last year. If I remember correctly. So its about to be a Year old.
And the last waves hit shelves about March of this year.
so yeah, whatever you are gong to buy do it fast.
I just cannot end this post without seriously recommending you find Jetfire asa number one Priority, and the Magnus Skywarp 2 pack.
But Jetfire above all.

That Prime/Megatron double-pack is not the same as the Prime Voyager Classic and the Megatron Voyager Classic, though, so you should be aware of that.

I am amazed how sought after Screamer is now when he was a shelf warmer in my area for a long time, then puff he disappeared. I am glad I snagged one when he first came out.

scout around on eBay for classics Starscream. i think some people are still actually selling him for just a little over MSRP (at least in the localized version of eBay in our country). you just have to pay for shipping though.
all the comments above are the HUMBLE OPINIONS of the said user only. 'nuff sed.

Be careful man, once you get a Classics Screamer there is no returning to a world of extra cash and normalcy. He's the one that did me in. Because of him I am now several thousand dollars lighter and 100% crazier.

I thought that the Classics line was the best line I've seen in about 20 years, couple that with the fact that they used some of the most popular characters, and you have a hit. It's not impossible to put the set of Classics together it just might cost you double of what they retailed for. Starscream will be the most expensive at around 20-30 bucks followed by Megatron 20-40.
But if you find a good deal on one of them take it. I went to a yard sale last week and got a Megatron for a 25 cents, so that might be a good option as well. It all depends on how well you look.
Other good places to check for the last wave would be K-mart, Sears, TRU, Boscovs, and any local Department store I found several Cliffjumpers, Mirages, Opitmus Primes, Jetfires, and Ramjets just yesterday by gong to those places. So give it a try and good luck.

Just hearing about the classics line being released last September gives me the shakes. I wish I would have been into TF back then. It's really hard to find them now. In fact I just got back from trading a classic Jetfire for a classic Optimus Prime? I had 2 Jetfires anyway. I had good success with him during my outings. Was that a good trade? I needed one.

Ugh, after seeing the delicious Sunstreaker and Sideswipe duo pics, Fall 2008 seems like a looooooooooooooooong wait. It was said in SDCC that about 10 Deluxes and a few Ultra's are planned. What the other 8 Deluxes and few Ultra's Ultra's are, I just don't know.

Hasbro has stared calling original classics line, Classics 1.0 since they make a Classics 2.0 line begining in october 08. Which continue untill it stops seeing a profit. The only two lines that will be avaliable from this point on from hasbro after the movie line has run it course are the new animated toys and classics 2.0 both of them begining in 08, as well as the next movie line when that finally hits theaters in the future. As far as the classics go all you have to do is look around there still out there at some places. In fact I still have classics bubblebee sitting in my closet factory sealed. Haven't decided what to do with it yet

Hey folks, I just came back from my local TRU and came up on a Jetfire. Thanks Overcracker for letting me in on the info of how bad ass he is. In reply to the last post, are you referring to me when you say trade an extra Jetfire for a SS?

No, I was talking to skyblast, who was the last post on the first page, said he traded a second Jetfire for a SS, which he didn't have.

Glad i could help.
My Sam's club still hqas a bunch of the Prime, Megatron (gun, not tank) two packs but they are full price. at $39.99.
If they go down a bit, i might buy one, since i don;t have either figure. Only the Magnus repaint.
