Masterpiece Starscream (Walmart exclusive) -- is there a release date?

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere.. is there a definite date in September that I should start checking on this at local Walmart's? Or, is there a chance they will just trickle out starting in the next few weeks?
I'm not too familiar with the patterns on these things and want to be sure to get one.
Also, does Hasbro produce a lot of these? Kind of like with the 20th anniversary Optimus? I see a ton of those on Ebay..I wonder if the Masterpiece Starscream will be mass-produced as well.
Thanks

I'm going to bring coffee and donuts to the stockers at my WM.
Give them a lil somthinsomthin so that they can hurry the hell up and get my toys out of the back room.

Starscream Masterpiece Walmart Exclusive
I heard it was September..So you should start checking sometime then, Ill be checking in the middle of September. But I think its definitely sometime September, Im hoping of getting one, Im a little worried that ill miss out on this, like I missed out on 20th Prime. So ill probably go to Walmart everynight in September after 10, thats when they have the pallets out for restocking, so hopefully ill be able to get it that way. Cant wait until its released.

Man, I think I'll get this one instead of the Takara MP. Will be easier and cheaper to get. The colors also seems to be better, but we'll see. Will this be the best thing Hasbro ever made ?...

Oh goodness. I wont be able to get that then.
I'll just stick to trying to get a MIB Classics Starscream. My mom would kill me if I spent over 50 bucks at once on a "toy".
I really loved the way this was painted too.

Starscream
Actually i think it's $60. It prolly won't be very hard to find if wally stocks right. 60 items don't move too fast so no need to look too hard

I'm almost positive that I have seen $59.99 posted elsewhere.

You just have to keep an eye out, and remember that not all Walmarts will have it. Just like Alternators Rumble and Ravage, my local Walmart did not carry them, I had to go to the Super Walmart down the road. Not a big deal for me, but if you only have one close by, and it doesn't stock them, then you are kinda screwed.
So, if your Walmart did NOT stock Ravage and Rumble, then they will most likely NOT stock Starscream.

Argue with her that this isn't a toy, it's a collectible statue for potential future investment.

Yeah, but it's confusing because Hasbro's site clearly says it's due out in September. So homeboy here is just trying to get prepared for the big release. I would think they would do a pre-order like they did for UBB.

just the walmart version. why get the japanese us version of the same toy, when i have takara's mp-03?
wait a tick, is takara putting out a g1 mp screamer? if so, maybe that would be the mp-07 release?
i would find it hard for takara to release that toy in any other line.
i could be wrong, not quite sure how they marketted the 20th ann dvd prime..
enlighten me someone

Takara will release USA edition Starscream
which is:
A G1 correctly colored MP Starscream,
minus the "weathered" effect that the wal*mart version has.
I ordered both because I think the wal*mart version will look great in jet mode (with the weathering and the black markings near the vulcan canon nozzle etc.) and the jap version to display in bot mode.
I pre-ordered the wal*mart version through BBTS, I've ordered the jap. version through fan2fan.
USA Edition Masterpiece Starscream
* To have TV accurate coloring.
Comes in original US packaging
Weathering & Marking expected to be different from US released version
