ok i have a chance to get either one of these i was wondering which one is better/rarer.....

That is realy a tough one, Lio Convoy is a great figure, but in bot mode, the lion main tends to be a pain. Still he is loades with firepower and gimmicks

MagmaTron on the other hand has less firepower, but many different transformation options. Alot of fans don't like that the individual beasts don't have their own robot mode.

However for as complex and various his transformations are, that always seemed pretty nill to me.

So now we have to ask YOU, are you looking for a great action figure, if so, I'd say go with Lio, although Magamatron is not without his merits, just Lio is easier to set up and pose with more guns and those kick as claws.

Magamatron does have that awesome, very posable Seasaurus head, but for posing I give it to Lio.

However, if your into Transformations, I can't promote Magmatron enough. Lio only has one conversion while MagmaTron has many that are not impossible, but tricky to master.

So realy it depends on your preference. I myself though, would go for Magmatron, although both are realy great figures!

tough one that. i had the same problem....i opted for magmatron and i wasn't disappointed.
it came down to the simple fact i like dinosaurs more than lions.

I'd love to have either figure, I have read about a couple of people having issues with Magmatron, but never heard anything bar praise for Lio Convoy (until Liege Evilmus in this thread ) Even then it's barely a complaint!

FLASH Lio is a bit lame, all transparent and crap.

I have Magmatron and he's awesome!

I owned both and sold Flash Lio Convoy without a second glance. I strongly disliked the gold and the milky clear plastic. That's my opinion, sure the mold is cool no matter where you go with the colors. I simply didn't like that combo at all. I'd suggest getting regular Lio Convoy AND Magmatron. With the money you'd save from not paying the extra for Flash, you could easily afford both.

Ones a prime AND a lion, and the other has a mode where one of the dinosaurs combines via inserting a head into an ass.

Easy choice I think.

Oh and the individual magmatron bots dont have individual robot modes... LAME!

i have the jap magmatron and its a nice figure. i do wish the individuals had their own robot mode. it woulndt of been that hard to do but oh well.

Perhaps TECHNICALLY the sea monster head isnt up the ass of the trex but you dont think this mode looks like the green one is up the purple ones ass?

Cmon, this mode is why Magmatron is a big joke, I am not the first to point out this 'up the ass' mode.

At the very least, it looks like the purple one is crapping out the green one.

Even if you wont admit that, I am sure you can admit that this mode looks completely ridiculous.

I love my Magmatron, he's quite original especially as far as leaders go.

Normal Lio Convoy is okay but I always thought the flash one looked a little ridiculous....

LOL no need to apologize, I just ALWAYS think of this mode whenever someone mentions Magmatron.

I own Flash Lio, but I still will probably get Magmatron eventually. That ass mode is so bad, it almost justifies owning it.
