Toy Line Help
I guess i'm pretty much done with what i wanted to get from the movie line, i just need a few figures like BB maybe one or two more, but i'm just going to be patient with those. but now that i'm through with the movie line, i want to get into two other lines, i'd rather just stick to one to try to get as many from that line and then move on to the next, i had cybertron and classics in mind. its going to take a while now that most of them have to be bought online, but i'm willing to take my time to get these, since i'll probably pass on the animated line, i'll be using my resources and time on these, in ur opinion which one should i start on?? thanks.

Well, right now, if you're trying to collect different lines, then you'll obviously have to use Ebay.
My suggestions are.
a) Cybertron: Still should be found at your local TRU, or whatever toy chain that's closest to you
b) Classics: Same situation as Cybertron
c) Alternators: Expensive, and a bit hard to find
d) Animated: If you are patient, you can follow the line just as they come out
e) Others......
i) Armada/Energon: Ebay has these babies going for relative cheapness. But most of them are used
ii) Titanium: The line is finished mostly. It's a bit expensive, but you should find them in your stores. If you dish out about $300, the whole 6" line should be yours. Add another $150, and you probably have collected all the 3"'s too
iii) Universe: Kinda like Armada/Energon, cept you can find these at discount shops(so i've heard)
iv) Beast Wars V: These Japanese 10th Anniversary guys are easy to find online, and are at descent prices. And there's not too many figures in the line.
v) Everything else past 2002: Ebay, Ebay, Ebay.
Have fun!

well its kind of hard for me to choose, i recently got figures from both lines that stores have been restocking with, like jetfire and optimus from classics and primus from cyberton. the ones from classics that come to mind more are starscream, bumblebee, rodimus, and from cybertron i want optimus, wingsaber, scourge, cybertron defense team. basically either line i go with i would start off with the ones i mentioned, i meant what line should i start off with considering cost, and also those who have quite of few of figures from these lines, which ones do u guys enjoy more?

If you were around during the 80's, Classics. Be warned though, you are not going to complete classics without dishing out like 600-700 (and fast rising) for the '07 botcon box set. You will also probably want the bagged sets and exclusive figure from 07, which will run you another 300+.
Also, I do not normally say this, but with the Cybertron line, make sure you look into Takara's line as some of those, like Vector Prime, are vastly superior to the US release.

Grab whatever you want from wjatever stock is left over, it will be very expensive for you to try and complete any line released thus far (bar Classics) so just grab what you can.
The Toy galleries here at Seibertron are very useful for deciding if you like certain figures over others more.

both are very cool and yet increasingly hard to find lines.... good luck with your searches, but start at retail stores first; trus, wal marts, etc.
