Took me nearly an hour to transform movie Prime a month ago, now Ironhide and Ratchet almost took 1.5h... Ratchet was pretty straight forward, but man Ironhide was a bit of a challenge for me. 1st the mid-section double snap-ons almost gave me a finger cramp, then the chest piece fitting between the shoulder fenders had me going back and forth, whether to pull the shoulder sling-spring joint all da way, or just let it hang, which seems not as satisfying as the 1st choice. I settled with the 1st choice.
In anycase, both figs ranks up there as 1 of my favourites out of my collection.

I never understood the problems people have had transforming Ironhide.
Then I looked at the instructions...
Now I understand completely.
I believe Ratchet is the same, leave the instructions be (chuck them out if you dont collect them), or throw them in a box to be forgotten about, because they are useless.

I've had my Ironhide displayed on my bookshelf in robot mode since July. I finally got the courage to try and change him back to his alt mode. The one thing that took awhile was realizing that his chest plate slips into those notches in his arms. Had to use the galleries for reference. Great figure though!
