How do you keep Brawl from automorphing?

I can't seem to keep the front end of leader Brawl to stay together in tank mode. I tried the little lever in the middle, but it doesn't want to move.

hi there, I actually encounter the same problem...until i realised, at the front end of the tank, the white plastic that supposed to be the headlamp is actually the locking mechanism for the front skirt.

I don't get it. Just to be sure, I'm talking about the cow-catcher thing. It keeps wanting to fold up and his head keeps popping up. The front sides of the tank I got. Push on the headlight and put the tab into the slot. It's the automorph dealing with his whole chest area that's got me stumped.

Im at work right now so I don;t have him infront of me. I know exactly what you are talking about and I also had trouble with it. When it comes to his Automorph feature you have to push it fully into it's locked position. To do this you have to make sure the head is fully down in the chest and the guard (and grey tab) is fully forward, it takes some doing but it should lock.

ooo...that one!
well, for me it was quite easy. I just push the lever all the way down and the two fork-like appendage will close on and lock together..
or are there any broken appendages? maybe i should post some pics.
mod/admin, can direct me to the thread about pics posting? thanx in advance.

OK, I think I got it. Damb Brawl is one stubborn bastard! You gotta force the part with the 2 forks down as far as it will go and then push the center thingy down hard. And it has to be extreamely precise. It's crazy that Hasbro would create figure that's finicky(sp?). I mean the arms are bad enough!
