MP Thundercracker
As I bought my Mp-Skywarp from my comic shop here in Michigan I told the owner I read on here there was debate and vote who would be the next MP and he said Thundercracker is infact being made and possibly released soon.

Shame on you, CP! Misleading a fellow collector like that!
Well, we, or any of the other rabid fansites, have not yet heard anything to this effect yet. The only indication anyone has of an MP Thundercracker is the picture on the back of Skywarp's box, showing all 3 seekers.
I'd ask your comic guy where he got this news.

Wasn't there a Takara produced picture (I believe in the rumour section of this very site) that showed an MP Thundercracker?
Personally i think that two uses of the mould is enough, but you never know.....
Found the pic, check out the listing at HLJ;

Yes the pic on the back of the MP Skywarp box suggests there may be an MP Thundercraker planned. Whether or not he'll be the next MP is yet to be revealed. However there are rumours that MP-07 will be the show accurate US redeco of Starscream.

i dont think he is being "made." its more like he's being "painted." id be really surprised if they decide for a new mold for thundercracker. but knowing takara, theyll use the same mold as ss and skywarp

That's also part of the rumour.
On the issue of 'making' Thundercraker, maybe they will remould his face like they did for Skywarp or maybe they'll just repaint Skywarp? Who knows.

Noting that the picture is still in debate itself as being anything more than a fanmade picture used by Takara. After all, said picture [or one very similar] showed up and was used by a fan as a signature image about the same time MP-03 was released.

I don't. Three seekers is enough. They should still consider Soundwave w/casettes, Shockwave, Jazz, Ironhide, Bumblebee, Grimlock and Ratchet before going into more seekers.

I absolutely agree with you....I was just stating that if they did eventually do them, that they better use different molds

Basically you just change the head mold (inluding the cone) and the wings.
But most or all of the coneheads' alt modes are not realistic jets. That could be a problem. It could be the reason the coneheads will never be MPs.

Personally I really couldn't care less if they do the coneheads, they were nothing more than rank and file cannon fodder anyway. There are so many other more deserving TF characters I'd rather see done.

Skywarp was not a new cast and the flaws with MP-03 were massivly exagerated, the issues with the mould were QC related and these appear to have been worked out over time. There is no actual changes made to the mould for Skywarp other than remoulding of the alternate faces part.

Agreed. Plus those can be pumped out nice and quick with just a little retooling.
I'd agree that Grimlock, Ironhide, Ratchet, Soundwave are musts in the MP lin. HIOwever, Jazz seems unlikely as there is no way they can have him resemble a Porsche as the VW group takes not making "war toys" very seriously. I'd imagine the BT is as good as it gets for him.
Like a few others here, I did the Ironhide and Ratchet mods to get them into the alt lineup, so those are not super important for me.
Though I would like to throw in a vote for a full set of Dinobots, Insecticons, Shockwave, Soundwave and Coneheads. If those came to fruition along with a UM trailer, I would bw quite satisfied with the MP line. Not to say I would not want still more, but for me, those are the minimums that need to be made.
