Boxed
I wondered how many of you actually keep your transformers in the box I don't I like possing them in fact if I didn't pose my transformers I'd probably have a very empty room. Plus who knows if they will be worth anything like the G1 toys all suck exept for Megatron and Soundwave
Want List:Armada Skywarp, Cybertron Thunderblast, Energon Dreadwing or Mirage.

I keep my Commemorative Re-issues in their boxes, along with the few SWTF's. and my Original BW Takara Cheetas.
Mostly because I like those boxes, and they are collector friendly. Not that they are MISB. But just because I can open them transform and fiddle around with them, and put them back in.
Anything else from Hasbro, gets opened and posed.

The only TF's I have in boxes are Alt. Camshaft, Rodimus and Nemesis Prime, cause they cost me a lot each, and I already have each mold (Prowl, Mirage and Optimus, respectivly) opened.
If not, then free them from their carboard and plastic prisons, and cut the twisty ties of justice!
Damn, that was corny.

Keeping TF's in boxes is stupid. I mean, there supposed to transform! Do people keep LEGO in boxes? It's dumb to do either. Although, when i got concept BB i went to see how long i could go with out opening him.(Not even 7 hours.)

I wouldn't say it's "dumb" or "stupid," if that's what people want to do it's their right to do so.
Me personally I gotta play with them. er, I mean, actively engage their transforming abilities to further my display of 'Action Figures' in an adult type display.
Yeah, that's it.
and to date my GF only caught me making helicopter noises with BlackOut one time. I tell her she imagined it.
Crazy chick, hearing things and s**t.

I haven't been *caught* doing that yet...
I have, however, taken Blackout into the other room where my wife is using her computer and spun the rotor so it'd blow a nice comfortable breeze for her.

I take them out then I put them back in their box. Protecting them from dust ,and it keeps them in good shape.

I knew someone was going to say that, lol.
I'm psychic like Madamm Cleo,..................if she were white with a shaved head and tattoos.
actually I guess I'm not much like Psychic Cleo.
G1 Rocks! Truk Not Munky! er,..GeeWunner!! er,..
But you're right, G1 Grimlock or SkyFire weren't anywhere near as cool as the floppy Megatron who couldn't stand up and had a big ol cod-piece.

DavidT's boxed collection he put up a week or so ago was amazing. Almost made me sorry I opened mine.
I do leave some in the box. It just depends on how I feel about the figure.

Not a MISB fan myself. Though I have started to keep boxes for the figures I get so I can have a MIB collection if I choose to.
For now its loose and posed for my TFs

I buy my favorite figures because I want to play them. Not opening them is a waste of fun and feel not owning it without actual playing with it (at least transform it once). I'd keep the boxes if they look very good. i.e. Masterpiece boxes.

i don't think the G1 figures suck it's just they suck compared to the new figures which is why I don't buy G1 toys anymore

For you fellow box-openers, what do you do with the boxes? Storing all them is really starting to take up a lot of space. My wife thinks I'm crazy for having boxes full of boxes.

I'm really getting sick and tired of people that say things like this. Im a MISB collector and that's my CHOICE!! Why am I stupid? Cause I dont play with them or transformer them?? I like how the look in there box and or package, card or what ever they come in. The whole thing is that I like transformers and I collect them. Cant people be happy that we enjoy the same toy line with the same passion.

I open most of my stuff, but I keep many sealed. It's a choice, and what a person does with something after they buy it is their own business.
I though my collection is displayed open for the most part, I love to look at MISB collections, and I hope to have space for my sealed pieces when I get a house. As for now they are tucked away safely while the open collection breathes freely.

I told the fire to go **** itself, and it did.

I don't collect stuff in the box for my own collection.
However, I have kept LEGO sets in the box and resold them a year or two later. Star Wars LEGO sets resell very well. The Republic Gunships I had cost me about $60 on sale and now sell for close to $300. The Millenium Falcon redesigns were $50 each at Target on Black Friday two years ago and now sell for over $200 each. Nice profit.

QFT, that is a ridiculous notion.
G1 Primes sucks? G1 Blitzwing? G1 Prowl, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Shockwave, etc etc. You are condemning ALOT of great bots.
