Well, yeah, they kinda do suck, but some of them are nice and they are more like novelty items. I got movie Megatron and he's the most movie accurate in color IMHO.

I guess you gotta be a collector to like em.

They're just cheap li'l substitutes for those low on cash or display place, people in need of small desk decoration and people who buy anything with the TF brand. For their size and price point, these are pretty good. I've got the 8 Movie Legends which are released so far. Blackout, Starscream, Barricade and Megatron are quite cool. Prime, Bumblebee, Jazz and Ratchet not as much but certainly servicable.

Huh? They look good and I find them much better than Minicons. Certainly more inspiring than most Spychangers, especially in the transformation department.

Kids love the smaller Transformers, they are a huge part of Hasbro's TF sales. They are simple and fun.

When I was a kid, I had dozens of minicons/legends sized bots and loved them to death.

They may not carry the detail of deluxes or voyagers but they arent meant to. They cater to a younger TF fan.

I still collect them for the nostalgia, if you are going to buy them, you cant judge them on the same criteria that you would judge a deluxe, voyager or leader.

Could not agree more Redimus.
The Cybertron ones (and their Classics repaints) are for the most part quite good, and easily worth the couple of Dollars.

Barring Megatron, who as has been stated in fairly accurate, both in transformation and crappiness, the movie versions all fail dismally.

The Legends of Cybertron Starscream completely blows away a large number of older, larger toys in ways that are too numerous to mention.

But yeah, most of the movie Legends = fail.

I have a Legends of Cybertron Leo Prime and I must say, it is sweet! It has pretty good articulation for something of that size. Some of the Movie ones look pretty sweet too, like Starscream and Megs.

For the most part though, I think the Legends are more of a novelty than anything else.

Or a Child wanted to spend his pocket money/get a cheap toy out of his parents whilst out at the supermarket. I wouldn't say they were aimed at collectors at all, it's just some collectors will by anything with Transformers written on it especially if it only cost a couple of quid/bucks.

Some movie legends look cool. And they are made of plastic too. Some are better looking than voyager Ratchet.

I don't find them that bad. I have all of them so far in fact for the Movie Line. But that is only because I almost have the whole Movie Line just missing 2-3 TF's. I guess the Legends aren't really something to begin a collection with. Then again anything goes for me.

The only movie legends figure I'd consider getting is Barricade, the rest can burn.

Movie Legends Starscream is not the best example of what a legends class toy could be. Legends of Cybertron toys were simply amazing. the movie ones are not nearly as impressive.

I don't have any movie Legends yet(if I find some on clearance, I'd get 'em), but I do have six Cybertron ones, and Starscream is by far the best one. Heck, I like the little Legends one a little bit more than the big Supreme one, but only cause it's easier to pose, and the arms have more range of motion. Also, it's only two articulation points less than the big version(no elbows).

the little legends one is sweet when compaired to his bulkier supreme coutnerpart for the reasons you stated. The only thing I have with the little legends fellow is he doesn't bed at the elbow. but that's very minor. Otherwise he's wonderful to use.

Dude! Aim higher! :D

When I'm out at the supermarche helping me parental unit buy me cookies (lolz), I always check the tf section.

And I normally come back with at least a deluxe.

Leave the legends/ minicons, they're for the peasants :P

If they were replaced with WST however....

I buy them, but when they're on clearance. I got Target Cybertron legends 4-pack for less than $2.50. I'm waiting for TRU movie 6-pack to go on sale.
