I gave the whole stop-motion thing a try. This is just a real quick Speed Dial 800 stop-motion. The camera is a Sony Cybershot DSC-7 (it's like 6 years old) and I used MonkeyJam to link the frames together. Exported an un-compressed AVI, uploaded to YouTube, and here you go:

Be honest, if it sucks, say so. :-P

Weapon: Sword
It isn't bad. It is a little too quick and choppy, and it might be better watching backwards (from phone to robot). Overall, nice work.

It's a real good attempt at being new at it like you said, and so much better then the stuff we see on youtube, some advice though.

Watch the lighting, try and avoid natural light like the sun or moonlight =P. Close all blinds/curtains in the room and if they're light covered curtains try and use a dark towel or blanket to block the light further and use artificial light so you dont get that "strobe light" effect.

Other then that, real nice and make more, need something to watch =P

You're right, I had a real problem with lighting. Natural light wasn't the issue, though. I think the issue was either the TV (which was on) or the flash from my camera has crappy timing.

Lapse of Reason - that was my impatience showing through. I thought it was going to be really smooth when I did it, but when I played it back at 24fps it was way too fast. I ended up making the .avi 15fps, which wasn't enough.

At any rate, I will figure it out. Thanks for the advice and compliments, guys. :)
