G1 Trypticon- Better than Metroplex?
How good is the Trypticon Toy? I'm just wondering, because as much as I love my Metroplex, he's kinda... dull. Is Trypticon any better?

Trypticon is awesome. Not only is he a way better developed and more interesting character than Mtroplex, but his toy walks! I've always been a sucker for mobile TF toys.
Also, he is the Ying to Metroplex's Yang. IMO, if you have one, you defonatelyneed the other.

I too love Metroplex, but also prefer Trypticon. He just looks much cooler.

Purple + Black = awesome
Huge cannon = awesome
Huge cannon that lights up = awesome+
Walks = awesome
Tongue cannon = awesome (I bet the lady bases find that attractive

You can find a working Tryp on eBay pretty easily. It may be missing a few parts though.
Given the choice, you may want to look into getiing the Korean RID version. He doesn't come with Full Tilt(tank), but he's got cool paint apps, horn, and can still be found MIB for less than $100(sometimes).

I just got a Trypticon about a week ago off eBay for a lil over $100. I'm pretty impressed with him. His base mode is better than Metroplex's IMO and they incorporate the scramble city features by adding Onslaught and Motormaster. The battery features are cool. I didn't know the radar dishes/weapons were motorized. Pretty impressive.
I do need to try the scramble city base mode on Metroplex though. I saw it on Cobra Island's pics of him. Looks pretty cool.

Both Metroplex and Trypticon are must haves. Back in the eighties Metroplex went for $32.99 and Tryticon went for $49.99. Wish they both went for that much brand new these days. Trypticon is a better toy cause he's motorized. Metroplex is more of a brick with some nice poses but has some nice accessories like Trypticon. Too bad I can't say that about all Tf bricks like Ultra Magnus.

While this is true, Gigastorm is missing all of Trypticon's accessories with the exception of Gigascouter (Full Tilt) though.
Personally I like Metroplex a tiny bit more than Trypticon for some reason but both are great figures.

I have to say that Trypticon is really cool I mean he walks and he is the biggest triple changer on record plus he is a dinosaur enough said.
