PREDAKING ARISE

Postby Saber_Wulf » Tue Oct 09, 2007 7:31 pm

Yes today was the day i finally got my head strong and i must say that i love it, looking at predaking a figure that i have always wanted to get since i was a kid but never had enough money for is finally here. All parts of the beauty are g1 except the hand feet and the large guns and individual weapons, i bought a ko for them.

The parts that are ko as i said are the hands, feet and giant gun they are only there until i can get the REAL gear but until now it will ahve to do. The head is broken on the front left fin on his head. But besides from that i finally got an army that i love and always have loved, the name sake for the beast wars army that is PREDACONS and as the thread's name says PREDAKING ARISE. you can so be sure that once i get the final g1 peices and new stickers he is so going to be my trophy peice i love my predaking.

I also was in awe when I finaly got my PREDAKING! he is truely the best of the Combiners.

I would love to see a new one with Voyager limbs and a Leader core, with a solid complex merge pattern.

I hate the comon, "this one has ports and these have openings"

I'd like to see all the bots have a third transformation ment to be nothing more than a means to solidly affix them to the core bot, and give him perfect solid form and articulation.

This is what I've wanted ever since I saw how unique PREDAKING's merge pattern was, and with new tech, I can't see why we can't have a new superior version.

Lates face it, recent combiners, although they look nice, topple with the slightest nudge!

I'd like a new PREDAKING that would rule just as much ass over current combiners as the origional did over his peers(if you'd call them that at all)

I remember buying the reissue a few years ago. I was in awe with all the die-cast... but I quickly started hating Predaking. It wouldn't stand perfectly straight because of the weight of the arms and the floppy wings on the back were quite annoying (was it that hard to come up with a solid attachment?). I ended up selling it back after a few weeks.

To counter the floppy wings problem all you have to do is pop out the part that plugs in to predakings back turn it around and re-attach it to the wings. It looks as if this part of the wing attachment was initially installed backwards so that when it attached to predaking the wings just flopped forward against him. After I corrected that the wings sat properly in place.

to prevent Predaking from falling over I usaually have him displayed with the divebomb arm extended out like he's aiming to shoot at you, and have the other arm positioned so that the fist is resting on the end of tantrum's outer horn. this will prevent him from falling over.

It really sucks that you lost your patience with him and sold him back, he really is my favorite piece (not to mention birthday gift from my Girlfriend early this year) and one of my more prized display pieces along with MP megs and Prime.

Hopefully what I described above will help anyone else out there who is getting frustrated with the same issues.

Yeah I have the reissue as well and that is how I have him displayed thanks for the heads up on the wing I will have to try that. Although a picture of what your talking about as far as what you did to wings might help.

mine has no problem with standing at all or the wings, but i was for sure that divbomb was the left arm and tantrum was the left leg, cause i have it if its facing me divebomb on the right hand side, tanttrum on the right leg, head strong on the right leg and rampage was on the left hand side, after seein g tantrum on the right and head strong on the left im confused now.

Any ways any one know where i can get a new head for predakig, fists, feet and new stickers for him to replace the old ones?

It's not that my Predaking had problems balancing, it's just that it wouldn't stand straight, even with the arms down. Viewed from the side, he was always slightly leaning forward.

And Saber, it's impossible that your wings don't flop around, they do by design. Lift your Predaking and shake it. You'll see the backpack flop around in all directions. It should have at least a 2-point attachment.

I too wanted Predaking for ever, and I bought the reissue about two years ago. Absolutely the best combiner ever, G1 or otherwise.
