A question about Micromasters

Postby shortround » Fri Oct 12, 2007 5:25 am

O.k. what were micromasters supposed to be?

Where they hasbro and takara answer to those micromachine playset which combine into a giant city, as well as the star wars playset not the one that folded out of character faces but the ones that were like little sets from the movie and combine into one large set?

Always wondered I hope someone can answer the question since it bound to come up with all the talk about different base transformers.

Hmm, if I recall, something along the lines of the micromasters were made because the damaged TFs couldn't be repaired due to a lack of resources. So they used Nebulon technology to put them in smaller bodies, and then in the interests of efficiency, some non damaged TFs decided to undergo the process as well.

IMHO, pretty dumb storyline. IMHO, pretty freaking fun toys. With the bases and small sizes, they were awesome to play with, especially since my parents bought me all of them since they were so cheap.

^^^ What he said.
They are about the same scale as WST. They have decent articulation for their size. Great little Transformers with some cool as hell bases. I have always liked them.

That answer my first question but not my second question.

Weapon: Turret Gun
please clarify what your second question is
- if its the relation to micromachines then yes when they were released origonally they came in 4 packs with a similar alt moade them very much like micromachines did at the time and came with bases that started off as things like petrol stations that converted into battle stations.
The ramps pieces were all compatible so it was possible to join bases together (i had a couple of smaller sets joined up to my countdown set i recall)

Some question marks in your post might make it easier for people to figure out what your questions are.

This may help.

KO Sixliner on the left is actual Micromaster size.
KO Sixtrain on the Right is oversized.
Starscream, Ramjet, and Megatron are WST.
Protectobots are KO's advertised as WST.
Everything else is KO Micromaster stuff.

Oooh I see Erector (Don't laugh, thats his real name) there. He a KO also??. Looks like the real deal to me.

Ohh and Skyhopper. I had that as a kid along with Groundshaker, they're just really cool bases.

Ohh and Flattop, almost missed him there.

Great Diorama BTW.

QFT.

Also, you could usually take a couple with you anywhere you went - grocery store, mall, etc. - And I think the micromasters themselves had to be impossible to break without using tools.

Flattop went a lot of places with me, as did the blue semi with the transforming car transporter, members of the monster truck team, and the hot rod team. Not all at the same time obviously.
