So, I'd been meaning to look up "Gepard Tank", the name applied to one of the oldest alts in HMW, since I had never heard of one before, and the Alt icon is vague enough I could never recognize it.
I finally looked it up and was pleasantly surprised. I thought the Energon Combaticon tanks were completely Scifi, but apparently not!
Not only are they based on a real vehicle, they seem to be danged good reproductions.

Yes they are anti-aircraft tanks used for air defense to shoot down attacking planes, though I'm sure you probably found out already.

Wow, I didn't know that either. Great find Caelus. Kickback and Blight are some of my favorite molds from Energon.

Im sure they used one of those tanks in the center of Tokyo in an anime called RahXephon too... It was deffinutly an anti air tank with two long side mounted gatling like cannons like that one has anyway.
