Me? The scaled down TRU Vector Prime repainted as Alpha Trion. I've been waiting more than 20 years for one. Hell I still have a repainted G1 Scourge I made in the early 90's.

A retool of Rodimus into Wheeljack would be worthwhile.

i hate seeing TF's that I would love to own that retail for 15-20 dollars that cost 10 times that much just because they were at a convention that I will most likely never have an opertunity to attend.

Just like the Alternators Nemesis Prime that I had to spend 50 bucks on.

Do I HAVE to spend that much?

No.

No one is holding a gun tomy head saying "Buy that figure" but that was "only" roughly twice what an Alternator should cost.

I know that's the point of those "exclusives", but it really sucks for the casual collector.

I'd like to see Autobot Spike. Even though I don't know what kind of story they'd come up that would fit into the continuity to explain his change in appearance (based on whatever repaint they come up with), but I think it could be done.

Course, with those figures retailing at 20 bucks a piece I doubt that'll happen. But if it does...

Going with what I know - the this year's exclusives will be based on the Classics line, and there will be five in the set, I'd like to see the all turned into more G1 classic characters.

Hot Rod as Wheeljack (as I mentioned in a previous thread, and is also mentioned above). I could also see Hot Rod recolored/remolded into Bluestreak, Prowl, and Smokescreen although I hope not because I don't want to see the mold oversused like that.

Starscream as Thundercracker.

I'm not sure about what I'd want for the rest. I have a hard time seeing Jetfire, Megatron, Mirage, or Grimlock remolded into anything worthwhile unless the mods were pretty extensive.

Maybe Megatron as Shockwave, although the arm cannon would ruin it.


I could also see Prime, Mirage, Bumblebee and Hot Rod remolded into a Stunticon team.

I'll agree with the sentiment of most of the rest in that I'd like to see something that isn't marked up 1000% over retail. I still remember getting Onyx Primal and Fractyl & Packrat for $80 shortly after BotCon '97 so I'm fairly certain they used to be reasonable.

I too have wanted an Autobot Spike for the longest time. I also want the G1 cybertron mode Wheeljack, Bumblebee, Laserbeak, Soundwave(info terminal) and seeker jets(the triangles).

Well, I only own 2 con exclusives. I have Onyx Primal from 10 years ago (gift) and Alt Nemesis Prime ($35 from Casefresh) but my point is what do you want to see that wouldn't sell in major stores. The average snot-nosed A/E/C fan driven around by his Volvo-drivin'-soccor-mom either doesn't know who Alpha Trion is or wouldn't care. We'd care. Ane we'd (maybe) be willing to travel a great distance and (maybe) be willing to stand in a crowded room full of people who always seem to be willing to spend more on it than you. What it really comes down to is who are you willing to shell out the big bucks for?

well it most certainly will be classics figs, but its hard to say who could possible get remade into who, unless they did a pack of seekers. of course they could always do optimus into nemesis, but even with the mods and resculpts, it would be realy hard to make the classics into any other characters but the ones theure sculpted out of.

however, one thing does come to mind

takara makeing a set of masterpeice megatrons for hasbro american distribution.....

Are you talking about Autobot Spike like from the G1 episode Autobot Spike? I guess I could see an Autobot X toy. I don't think one has ever been made and technically already fits into continuity since there was a whole show about his mind being transfered into Autobot X.

If you were talking about some kind of Autobot Spike where the toy looks like Spike but then transforms or maybe it looks like a car and then transforms into Spike I don't think that would be any different from the current Star Wars Transformers line and could be doable as well.

NOTHING. I'm tired of cool characters and figures getting the Botcon treatment while the rest of us peons watch the $200+ auctions on e-bay. Love the idea of Botcon, hate the fact that you have to mortgage a small child to go.

I'd have to agree: making an Alpha Trion, Arcee and/or any of the female Autobots, Autobot Spike, Cybertron forms of Wheeljack and Bumblebee as well as the seekers would be really awesome. It would be nice to get a Vector Sigma and key too. Muwahahahaha!

However, I doubt I'd ever be able to afford them with the price tag any Botcon exclusive comes with.

My vote for a new Botcon exclusive is clever and cool, at least i think. i would love to See a Beast wars megatron VS Gi joe fig as the next Botcon toy.

back story: Cobra commander has the unconcious Decepticons in his fortress in a southern deserted Mayan temple. there with his cult like followers he devises a plan to get the locals to believe that he is a God and controls fantastic Beast warriors. His latest creation is the Megatron-Cobra. it is a testament to his arsenal and a useful weapon to strike fear in the heart of his enemies and rally his troops to action.

With Doctor MindBender at his aide, cobra commander successfully converts megatron to that of a Giant Cobra, set to lead his corp of Beastly Decepticons on a rampage to conquer south America and use fear to control the governments and launch an all out assault to conquer the world.

Megatron-Cobra has a different plan all togather, while leading his decepticon brotheren to war, he plans to utilize the resources of the South Americans to gather the energon he needs to conquer the Universe as well as betray Cobra Commander and take control of his terrorist network to infiltrate all the computers around the world.

Its a work in progress but here's a look at what i was thinking would be cool.

GIjoe VS Transformers (Beast Wars)

This is a photoshopped version that would be easy to produce, you just use Cohrada, then replace his head with that of the Transformers movie Wreckage for the Megatron look, and repaint him in Dark Blue colors, with a Shinny Silver Decepticon/Cobra symbol on the head.. it would look awesome..

Ofcourse the story and Name would need work, but it would makea cool Botcon Megatron, and could set up a series for Botcon's to come.

Some kind of ridiculous Transformer/Barbie crossover, because I don't like shelling out for exclusive repaints and I definitely wouldn't feel bad about missing out on a transforming Barbie Corvette named "Trendytron" or "Beauteous Prime".

How about "Burritomus Prime"? He starts out in Burrito form and his alt mode is a turd.

I have to agree, it sucks that they introduce some really cool characters at BotCon that everyone will pay out the butt for later but that's what makes them exclusives I guess.
