TFA Grimlock gallery ... this weekend!
- Motto: "'Til All Are One!"
- Weapon: Twin Shock-Concussion Missiles
I took most of TFA Grimlock's photos tonight. I have a few left to take tomorrow night. I'll be cropping the photos and such over the next couple of nights. I should have Grimlock and the Classic Pretenders galleries posted by Saturday with any luck.

What is he like? I’m kind of on the fence about this one.

I was surprised because I really like him so far! I think they could have done some things to make his dino mode more stable. The chest area below the dino neck comes apart easily. But other than that I really enjoyed the figure. Ratchet, Grimlock, and Lockdown are probably my favorites so far. I'd add Bulkhead to that list because I love his transformation but his dimunitive size in robot mode distracts greatly from the toy to myself.

Hmm, then I guess I’ll consider him!

Do you have Lugnutz? I’d really like a gallery of him.

No, it takes too much work to setup galleries like that. I have too many of my figures packed away from my move last fall so I will be focusing more on doing comparison shots of figures from the same series or that are easily accessible. I haven't done any comparison shots of Animated figures with G1 figures so I'm going to keep that pattern going. It's too much work to bust out the G1 figures.
Sorry

Darn, I really like the comparison shots of different generations. But then my collection is like one big comparison shot because that's how I display it.
Anyways, looking forward to the gallery and eventually getting the figure!

So did you try sticking that sword in his mouth to make it look like he's breathing fire. It says you can do that on the back of the box, but I don't see how that would work. Would be cool though if all the Dinobots could do that. Snarls weapon is a club, so it would look like he's spitting a wider stream. And Swoop had a ball and chain, so it probably will look like a fire ball.

I thought we weren't getting this till the weekend? Not that I am complaining mind you!
I am yet to see an Animated Figure that I dont like, although Grimlock has certainly jumped into my top 5.

I'm just surprised how much he transforms like G1 Grimlock. There's obviously some differences, but the bulk of it looks to be pure G1 Grimlock, including the rising chest.

I have to jump on the "sword in dino-mouth" bandwagon, that was the only reason I looked through the gallery!

I don't see how it attaches to his mouth. I tried, but nothing worked.

Re: TFA Grimlock gallery ... this weekend!
Excellent work man.
I have one question. How does the sword stay in the hand? Some sort of peg on the side of the weapon into hole on the hand?
It always bugs me when they are like that. I'm always afraid the little peg won't stay in the hole and the weapon becomes useless.
