oooohhhh kayyyy.... not exactly how I was expecting him to turn out... not bad in stereo mode, the robot mode sucks!!! its like he's carrying the stereo on his back, someone at Hasbro design staff has a hunch back and wants his creations to reflect his uniqueness...

He's an ugly critter for sure, but given that they had to turn a CD player into a humanoid robot looking like he does AND fit in the disk launcher (vertical- interesting) I reckon they've done a bang-up job!

I didnt want to come off to judgemental on the movie line, so i gave it half an hr or so to register and then looked at it again...it's still fugly.


EDIT: I really WANT to like this guy...but 7hrs later, it still makes me want to cry.

I'm with Brakethrough; it's different, and variety is the spice of life. We all had similar rumblings about Beast Machines, did we not? But more important that that, we have to remember- these toys and character designs will be LONG remembered by the "little kids" of THIS year. Imagine what it would have been like if WE had a Live action Transformers movie of this caliber to watch after Star Wars on those long Saturday afternoons when dad was out mowing the lawn and mom was busy grocery shopping...

Frenzy is(along with all the other robot designs)... What he is. whether we like it or not. What matters is whether or not they capture the collective imagination of the Kids. How awesome would it be if we saw another Transformers renaissance 20 years from now...
