Not to pick, but we really don't know how good the movie is until we see it. I'm very much looking forward to it though, and will hopefully see it on the first showing(it is my birthday as well after all).
As for the figure, there's a certain charm to it. I do think it's novel that for the first time ever Transformers are being designed like the giant alien robots they really are.
