I don't think it's dead. I think we'll see announcements in the next couple months.

Like Mkall said it's too early in the year to call it dead. I'd be surprised if TakaraTomy canceled the line. It's been a big hit as far as I can tell. A few of the sets are reaching the 'impossible to find' stage that signals a true success. Also with Hasbro reissuing Perceptor and the Insecticons that adds to the mold pool they can use. We know for sure that those molds can be used, along with the Seacons, and then there's the other Transformers that have been reissued previously but not in Encore like Ultra Magnus, God Ginrai, Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime. On top of that they've managed to constantly surprise us with newly reissued toys like Skylynx, Omega Supreme, and most of the Cassettes. I'd say that as long as the line is profitable we'll see new Encores this year too.

Yeah, I was thinking the Seacons since the Club set proved the mold was still extant, albeit slightly degraded. Any Scramble City tem'd be awesome, especially the Technobots.

Any G1 combiner set wold be awesome. The Seacons in their teal and purple glory would be more so.
Though I'm still waiting for a Blitzwing. We haven't seen him since the Bookstyle re-issue.
Habsro didn't even re-issue him in their TRU Commemorative series. And since Takara did re-issue him we know there's a mold.

I'd love to see Menasor, or Devastator re-issued. but I guess Predaking is a good place to start. What would he retail for: $100 bucks?

I've seen the Predaking reissue go over €200, or $290, MISB. Gift set and die cast, you do the math. I've seen a loose all plastic one go for much less: €70 or $101. He'll definitely be on my watch list, since I'm a sucker for robotic animals...

So 290 for the die-cast containing re-issue , about $100 for the plastic version
So for argument sake lets assume The Encore version has die-cast.

The only other combiner team released so far is Bruticus, at about $90 bucks.
Omega Supreme is going for 100 at BBTS now but it started a little higher than that likely because of all the Electronics.

Metroplex close to 100 also.

Predaking has no electronics, but is taller than your average combiner team not quite as tall as Metroplex though. So I'd say he should be as a ewly released figure with sufficient supply (hopefully), retailing for anywhere between $120 and $130 plus shipping of course.

Unfortunately unlike say Sky Lynx which saw a dramatic drop in price after release, Predaking has a bit more following. So likely he will just sell out before a price drop can happen.

Some of the recent encores aren't sitting around like Sky Lynx. They sell out, and that seems to be it. Good luck getting Encore #15. Almost nobody has it.

If Predaking gets reissued, I wouldn't expect any to end up in clearance sales.

I would die for a Encore Predaking.

How all Predacons have eluded me thus far I do not know.

I missed out on the last reissue in the 160-170$ range when it was released last since I lost my job.

It comes out again, I might even cough up for 2 since I want one so bad and damn straight one is gonna get played with lol

G1 Predaking would be absolutely nuts, I just gotta have it.

If we can get Encore Devastator, Predaking and Coneheads, I'd be happy with the Decepticon side of things.

It's been about 6 years since Blitzwing and the other bookstyle reissues were released. Some mold may have degraded.

There are always Encore Ironhides and Ratchets on Ebay WITH the custom heads. Have both versions. The smaller, closer to Basic heads are great. Really sell the toys. Once the no head issue has been resolved, you realise what great toys the vans are.

I'd like to see the Seacons, Ultra Magnus and God Ginrai released again.

Any new E-hobby type characters like Detritus and Sunstorm would be welcome.

Isn't it about time, G1 Prowl/Smokescreen was repainted as the G1 version of Movie Barricade. Could see Smokescreen's car type being closer with prowl's headlights AND it means it's not just an evil clone of Prowl.

Maybe actually make the green G1 Ratchet and Black G1 Ironhide actual characters WITH names. Maybe Ironhide as G2 Motormouth since he was a repaint of G2 Gobot Ironhide.

They have reissued Sunstorm, Green Ratchet, and Black Ironhide. Also in six years it's very unlikely the molds have degraded. Perceptor and the Insecticons were released at the same time and they're not degraded at all.

Sorry, was just preparing for the worst with regards the molds.

I didn't realise Sunstorm was released in Encore.

I know green Ratchet and black Ironhide were released in Encore but I just meant it would be nice to see them as new characters rather than just repaints of pre-existing charaters.

Like when the generic yellow and green Seekers got released as Sunstorm and Acid Storm.

Being a fan of G2 and the Diaclone molds, I just thought Motormouth, a former mold brother of an existing Ironhide might be good for the black Ironhide.

Course I wouldn't mind seeing a G2 Ramjet using the Animated Slipstream name as they share similar colour schemes and it would give us another new G1 character.

I would very pleased to see Predaking as the next Encore reissue and surprised if they don't release Cassette Big Mission 4 as well.

We have to remember that after Encore Trailbreaker and Hoist right at the very end of 2008 we didn't get any more Encore releases until May or June (can't remember exactly which) so they'll definitely do more.

Even if the Encore line finishes (both the Transformers Collection and Commemorative series finished with 21 or 22 toys in the line) then they'll just start a new line which is the same so don't worry about that.

Personally there are a lot of G1 toys I'd like to see reissued. Going back to what some of you have said, personally i hope they don't re-release Blitzwing (although a Classics version would kick ass) or Ultra Magnus as I got both of them when they were last reissued but more combiners (especially Devastator who could be improved with those Crazy Devy additional parts), Blurr, Springer, Dinobots and the likes of Wheeljack and Sunstreaker if they can be bothered to re-mould them.

My G1 Reissue wish list is as follows:

G1:
Constructicons/Devastator - KO companies have been making him for years, about time takara tomy did something about that... like release their own reissue.
Dinobots - I'd be happy with any, but I'd prefer a colour corrected Swoop (Diaclone colours)

2010:
Throttlebots - Call me crazy (and many will) but I want to see them reissued as a set or two.
Technobots/Computron - Computron never gets any love.
Cyclonus or Scourge - Preferably Scourge...

Headmasters:
Autobot Headmasters - Any except Brainstorm and I'd be happy (I hate Brainstorm)
Decepticon Headmasters - Especially Skullcruncher, fond memories.
Autobot Targetmasters - I know they've reissued a few of the non-new-mold/slight-remold Targetmasters (Kup, Hot Rod, Stepper) before, but I want to see ones like Pointblank reissued
Decepticon Targetmasters - Give me Slugslinger, or give me death.
Megazarak/Scorponok - Anyone?

Masterforce:
Take your pick, a lot of fan favourite characters here... I'd be happy with any except God Ginrai, who's reissue is still out there for a fair price.

For Victory, Zone and beyond, I'm, not expecting much... though there's a few cool ones from there I'd like to see...

Yeah, like any of those are gonna happen... I guess that's why they call it a wish list...
