Takara MPM-02 Bumblebee (Movie Masterpiece) vs. Costco Exclusive Battle Ops Bumblebee

I already own the original Battle Ops Bumblebee but I definitely want to get one of those two mentioned above. Rigth now I am planning to get the Costco Exclusive as he is available for half the price of this 160$-beast known as Takara MPM-02 Bumblebee. I have no clue why the Takara-version is so expensive. When I compare the pictures with my original BO-Bumblebee I see some minor differences and although they are not to ignore they would be no excuse for that 160$ price-tag.
The Costco is available for less than 100$ and looks the most promising to me by far. This metallic look really appeals to me.

Please share your thoughts. Which one would you get and why?

Motto: "I've looked into the eye of this island and what I saw was...beautiful"
Weapon: Double-Barreled, Armor-Piercing Particle Beam Cann...
Out of those two, I would definately go with Costco. Actually I went just for regular retail edition as I don't really care for my Transformers to be shiny. It is a decent figure but not for the price the import goes for. The reason the Takara version is so much as to do with the fact that it is an import which always costs more. There is shipping costs, differences in the value of Yen to Dollars. There is the fact that Takara is calling this figure a masterpiece which I am sure allows them to sell it for a premium in the first place. I haven't really compared the two so I don't know if there is paint apps differences. If there is more on MPM-02 then that will affect the price as well.

Thanks for the quick answer, lost Cybertronian!

Indeed, the import-aspect does play a role but the difference between the original BO-Bumblebee and the Takara Movie Masterpiece Bumblebee is significantly higher than the difference between the Original Leader Starscream and the Takara Movie Masterpiece Starscream which also has the import aspect on its side.

If you really want another one, get the Costco one. The paint is really nice (but I've seen some of them have scratches) and you also get two extra legend class figures.

Hi there,

Is there still any chance for me to get a Costco exclusive Bee at a decent price? Or will Takara Tomy or Hasbro do a metallic leader class bee for Movie 3?

Thanks!
