MP-11 Seeker Mold.

I recently decided to get into the Masterpiece line, the problem is that I have a moderate (maybe almost severe) case of OCD. The way my brain works, I would have to get all Masterpiece figures; MP-01-Current, because I absolutely want to have a Takara Masterpiece Skywarp and Thundercracker.
HOWEVER, if they get a release in the updated mold, I can create a brain clause that would allow me to skip/sell any character that gets a later release (I'm looking at you, Megatron.) That would save me from having two different Masterpiece Optimus/Magnus/Nemesis and two different Starscreams.
Having the Hasbro release of the MP-11-mold Thundercracker doesn't satisfy the OCD, just so no one suggests it.
Anyways, in conclusion, do you think Tak will release Warp and Cracker with the MP-11 mold?

I think we even had an interview or statement where they stated that TC and SW will get made eventually. They just want to finish of all the 84 molds first and start the 85 molds before they repaint the Starscream mold again.
I say once we have Cliffjumper and Megatron V2, we'll likely see either SW or TC after we've seen the first two 85 character molds.
But until then I would get the Hasbro TC, I have him and he's really really nice, I originally bought him to bridge the gap till we get a Tak version but now I'm not sure I would replace him.

I like all the different variants between the Hasbro and Takara versions, so I like to collect them all.
Say you had a Hasbro Thundercracker then bought the Takara version (or whatever) you could always display them in opposite modes. That's what I do

Yes, he's on the agenda.
And I'll gladly let the alt-mode take a hit if it meant an awesome robot-mode. It doesn't really matter since those who'll complain about his alt-mode will complain anyway. We had people complain about MP5's alt-mode sucking because it was too big to be accurate.
As far as we can go from what Takara and their designers have said, all the characters from the 84 and 85 cast are getting toys in scale with each other.
But I have to admit, I think it's kinda unlikely that they'll make an in-scale Omega Supreme.

I'd say there's definitely room for improvement. How they would be able to pull it off, I have no idea. All I know is that MP05's weapon mode was oversized for a Walther.

Well, the mass to make his bot-mode as tall as Prime's had to come from somewhere, and he was still too skinny.

I distinctly remember it being said that a Takara inside claimed Hegemon had similar engineering to a proposed new MP Megatron. Whether or not that was true I can't confirm but it's hard to believe that there isn't one developing in the background. Takara has to make a MP-10 sized Megatron.

That was tfw's insider right? He was discredited soon after that.

Like I said, I could not confirm it but we all know it's on the back burner. As soon as they got MP-10 done Megatron is just a matter of figuring out new engineering. The success of the Prowl and Sideswipe molds let them do a one off for Wheeljack. They are getting a lot of mileage out of Prime, Starscream 2.0, and Soundwave to get a Megatron made. Megatron has about the most limited mold reuse possible since Hasbro can't get it to retail and there's not really any repaints for him. Maybe a clear purple grid one as an in between to Galvatron.

Riiiight, forgot about the compensation for being in-scale with MP01.

It's on the back burner, our source back then stated that should the new direction of MP 10 be a hit, they would make a Megatron to go along with it. And seeing how we all crave the MP line now, Megatron is pretty much confirmed.
Oooo, I would like that, especially if they somehow found a way to emulate the detailing in the movie, or approximate it.
Other repaints they could do would be a Marvel Comics repaint, a Diaclone one, and that weird ehobby Megaplex(?) thing. But yea, he is like the one character who can only ever be repainted as himself.

Yea, got a few flashbacks to the time back then when a few would state in the same post that he isn't a Masterpiece because his alt-mode is to big to be a real gun and the bot-mode being too skinny and that Takara should have made him a bigger robot while also being a smaller gun.
In fact, I think that was the figure to get the oddest complaints ever. It was amusing.

i really dont suggest getting MP's 1-7. first of all, thats a tonne of money for sub-par figures (based on current MP's). and i actually have all these figures, so heres my "20/20 hindsight" breakdown:
MP01 optimus prime/convoy- big, clunky, not as detailed.
MP02 ultra magnus- unless youre a big fan of white primes...
MP03 strascream- beautifully detailed, but nothing close to show accurate.
MP04 optimus prime/convoy- just for the trailer? no thanks.
MP05 megatron- i liked him but like everyone says, there'll be a version 2.
MP06 skywarp- solid black, very limited purple. like SS, not show accurate.
MP07 thundercracker- same problems as SW.
then theres black convoy, dead convoy, and ghost starscream (which i think is it for MP01-07 variants). i might even go as far to say skip MP08 grimlock due to the scaling. but who knows if theyll redo him simply for scaling reasons. but hey, they reissued MP01 right before unveiling MP10.
the only MP (from 1-7) i would honestly advise anyone to still get is MP03 starscream. his real world deco while infuriating people at the time, was still really nice. also maddening was the waist kibble. but it grew on me, and when are we ever going to see a real world starscream again? (movies dont count)

It's an OCD thing. The Has Masterpiece doesn't have a serial numbering system. And the Had Skywarp already came out under a different mold. It's complicated to explain.
...
Anyways, that settles it. MP-08 and on up. I pre-oredered Perfect Magnus, so the most expensive one is outta the way already. Wooh. This will be quite the endeavor.
As far as we can go from what Takara and their designers have said, all the characters from the 84 and 85 cast are getting toys in scale with each other.
Soooooooooooo Devastator?

Ah ha! Soundwave is a part of a brain clause. Because Soundwave is the coolest damn Transformer in all of history, I can buy any Soundwave released. Also, the latest Hasbro Masterpieces have a serial release number. So... I can get those. Thankfully that is the case, I love the yellow visor for Soundwave instead of the red visor.
